Daily acca tips: Southampton, Blackburn and Betis to win

Insight and odds for tonight’s games

The end of the season is nigh, but for now there’s plenty of midweek action to enjoy.

That’s certainly the case tonight, with a couple of Premier League games and action from La Liga.

Ahead of this evening’s games, the Coral News Team have picked out five potential winners…

Southampton – 2/1

Mark Hughes’ Southampton will be desperate to beat Leicester City tonight. The Saints were much improved against Arsenal and Chelsea, and a similar performance could yield three huge points.

The Foxes have nothing to play for, and have won just two of their last nine in the league. This one could come down to who wants it more, and that could suit the Saints.

Blackburn Rovers – 1/2

Shrewsbury Town’s defeat to Charlton Athletic on Tuesday night has all-but-gifted Blackburn a place in the top two.

And Tony Mowbray’s side can take another step towards a Championship return when they host Peterborough United.

Rovers are unbeaten in 12, while the Posh have failed to win five of their last six.

Levante – 4/5

After a nightmare 15-game winless run over the winter, Levante have really upped their game in recent weeks.

They’ve won three and drawn one of their last five, with the only defeat in that spell coming against Atletico Madrid.

But they still have work to do if they’re to avoid the drop. And a win at home to bottom side Malaga would be ideal. The visitors have won just one of their last 17 games, with just three away victories in  38 matches.

Real Betis – 4/11

Real Betis are looking to finish in a fine fifth place this season, and they’ll boost their chances of winning their little duel with Villarreal with a win at home to Las Palmas.

The visitors sit second bottom, are winless in ten, and appear doomed. Betis in contrast, are stunning form.

The Seville-based outfit have won their last five, keeping four clean sheets in the process.

Alaves – 7/5

Alaves are looking good for another season in La Liga, but a win at home to Girona would pretty much seal the deal.

The Basque outfit have been going superbly on home soil too. They’ve won seven of their last nine at the Estadio de Mendizorroza.

As for Girona, they’ve punched above their weight to sit in the top half for much of the campaign. They’re now winless in four however, as the top flight begins to take its toll on the new-boys.
