Napoli v Man City - Sergio Aguero

Citizens hitman is in outstanding form

The first major trophy of the season is up for grabs on Sunday, as Arsenal face Manchester City in the Carabao Cup final at Wembley.

The stats point to a victory for the Citizens. They’ve won six of the last eight games, scoring 21 times in the process. As for the Gunners, they’ve lost three of their previous five – including Thursday’s defeat to Swedish minnows Ostersunds.

They’re not likely to fare any better against City. Especially with Sergio Aguero involved. The Argentine has scored 14 goals in his last 12 outings. And he loves playing Arsenal – netting in six of his previous nine meetings against them.

He could well be their difference-maker again, with the 29-year-old renowned for performing well in big games. It’s 7/5 for Aguero to Score and Man City to Win.

Pep’s charges to breeze to victory

The Citizens beat Arsenal 3-1 in the pair’s last meeting, back in November 2017. That’s just one of 21 games they’ve won by a margin of two or more goals this season.

Arsene Wenger’s charges have been beaten by multiple goals on four occasions since the start of November, including a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Championship Nottingham Forest.

The Man City -1 handicap is available at 29/20. They’ve also outscored the opposition either side of the break on 14 occasions this term, and Pep Guardiola’s men are 3/1 to Win Both Halves.

Goals look to be on the cards

There’s always plenty of excitement when these sides face off. Each of the last six meetings have seen both sides find the net.

The signs suggest that could well continue, with City netting in 12 of their past 13 matches – and the Gunners registering in seven of eight. Both Teams to Score is 8/15.

In the Head-to-Heads, three of the previous five games have produced four or more goals. That’s also something which has happened in seven of the Sky Blues’ games since the start of 2017. Over 3.5 Goals is available at odds of 23/20.
