Premier League and Ligue 1 action involved

Sunday’s football action throws up some key clashes from the Premier League, La Liga and Ligue 1 – as well as a flurry of FA Cup Fixtures.

The Coral News Team are looking to deliver you an early Christmas present with a fivefold accumulator on the day’s games. If this acca succeeds, a £5 stake would pay out a handsome £101.40. Odds correct at time of writing.

Here are their selections…

Manchester City v West Ham United: Sterling to Score Anytime

Pep Guardiola’s Citizens have been an unstoppable machine this term. But if one player has stood out above the rest, it’s Raheem Sterling.

The 22-year-old has been the difference-maker in each of City’s last three games, scoring the winner against each of Feyenoord, Huddersfield Town, and Southampton.

Wednesday night’s 4-0 loss at Everton ensured the Irons go into this game with the Premier League’s worst defensive record. Sterling to Score Anytime looks likely to come good at 19/20.

Valencia to beat Getafe

Los Che currently sit second in La Liga, having taken 31 points from 13 games. Marcelino Garcia Toral’s unbeaten side head to Getafe on the back of five successive away victories, including a 6-3 defeat of Real Betis.

The hosts head into this game on the back of successive defeats to nil, with a 3-0 cup loss to bottom-of-the-table Deportivo Alaves last time out.

Having tasted victory in three of their previous five visits to Getafe, Valencia to Win looks a fantastic price at 7/5.

AFC Bournemouth v Southampton: Under 2.5 Goals

While a South Coast derby is a big occasion for fans of both clubs, recent meetings have hardly thrilled the neutral. The last Head-to-Head ended 0-0, meaning that only one of the last four clashes has produced over two goals.

The Cherries have found the net once in their last two matches, while Saints have failed to score in two of their prior four. There could be plenty of value in Under 2.5 Goals at 4/6.

Double Chance: Caen or Draw (v. Lyon)

After a strong run of results, Olympique Lyonnais’ form has dropped off. They’ve won one of their previous three league games, losing 2-1 at home to relegation-threatened Lille in midweek.

They visit a Caen side who have one of Ligue 1’s strongest home records. Patrice Garande’s men have won five of last seven at Stade Michel d’Ornano.

That means they should take a point or more against faltering Lyon. Double Chance: Caen or Draw is a 19/20 shot.

Blackburn Rovers to beat Crewe Alexandra

Rovers are closing in on League One’s automatic promotion spots following a run of four wins on the trot. Having racked up 13 goals in that quartet of games, they’re a nightmare for any opposition defence.

All signs suggest they’ll dominate against the Railwaymen. Crewe head to Ewood Park having lost eight of their last nine away games, and now have the fourth-worst defensive record in League Two. Blackburn to Win looks a safe call at 1/3.
