There’s a full house of action in the Premier League and Championship this weekend. That’s the focus of Saturday’s Coral accumulator, and if this fivefold comes good, a £5 stake will pay out a cool £182.88. Prices correct at time of writing.
Here are the Coral News Team’s picks from the day’s action, leading off with Brighton & Hove Albion’s visit to South Wales…
Brighton to beat Swansea City
If the Seagulls perform anything like they did in their last away game, the Swans won’t stand a chance. Chris Hughton’s men stunned West Ham United with a 3-0 victory at London Stadium, as the in-form Glenn Murray grabbed a brace.
In fact, things have all gone rather well for Brighton following their promotion to the top-flight. They currently sit in 12th spot, having taken eight points from the past five games.
Swansea can only dream of form like that right now. They’ve taken a grand total of four points from their past seven Premier League games, losing at home to Leicester City, Watford and Newcastle United in the process. The Coral News Team reckon Brighton to Win looks a value bet at 9/4.
Double Chance: Burnley or Draw (v. Southampton)
While last season’s success was based mostly on a superb record at Turf Moor, the Clarets have been outstanding on the road this season. And they’re generously priced in the Double Chance at odds of 6/5.
Sean Dyche’s men have already recorded draws away to Tottenham Hotspur and Liverpool this term, as well as winning at both Chelsea and Everton.
That all means they’re likely to take something on the South Coast this Saturday. Especially with the Saints having lost six and drawn four of their last 12 home games.
Newcastle v Bournemouth – Under 2.5 Goals
The Coral News Team think this game could be something of a snooze-fest. Both sides are struggling for form, and in particular – goals.
The Magpies have scored one goal or less in seven of their 10 Prem games this term, while only three of those matches have produced three or more goals.
As for the Cherries, they’re currently the second-lowest scorers in the division. They head to St James’ Park having failed to score in four of their five away trips this term. Under 2.5 Goals gives this acca a boost at 5/6.
Millwall to beat Burton Albion
While Sunderland and the now-departed Simon Grayson have been the focus of the pundits’ harshest barbs, it’s Burton who are actually enduring the Championship’s worst form. In fact, the beleaguered Brewers have managed just one point from their past six games.
The Staffordshire side have been especially poor on their travels, having only scored a single goal away from home this season. And Millwall are likely to take full advantage of that at The Den.
Neil Harris’ Lions have won four of their last five at home. That’s including a 4-0 rout of Norwich City, and a 1-0 victory over Leeds United which ended the Whites’ nine-game unbeaten run. Victory over Burton at 8/13 should be easy work for the home side.
Bristol City v Cardiff – Both Teams to Score
Lee Johnson’s Robins are racking up the goals this term. Currently the second highest scorers in the Championship, they also put four goals past Crystal Palace in the Carabao Cup in late October.
That feat was duly followed up by two goals at each of the Stadium of Light and Craven Cottage, ahead of this game.
However, the hosts have also conceded in nine outings this term, and are unlikely to shut out the high-flying Bluebirds, who have scored in five of their seven away games this term.
With the pair’s last Head-to-Head also ending 3-2 to the South Wales club, Both Teams to Score looks a solid addition to this acca at 8/11.
