Wednesday’s mixed-sports acca could win over £190 from a £5 stake

Football takes a back seat tonight

There may be a lack of major football on tonight, but at Coral that’s an opportunity to branch out.

And so Wednesday’s acca goes from National League football to the Grand Prix of Darts.

If successful, tonight’s five selections could yield £194.05 off a £5 wager. Prices and returns correct at time of writing.

Tranmere v Leyton Orient – Draw

With just three points separating the top 10, and nine points splitting the top 19, life in the National League is more competitive than ever.

That’s great news for Tranmere and Leyton Orient, who lie 17th and 15th respectively but have much higher aspirations.

Orient are on a dismal run of form though, collecting one point from their last five games. Rovers were many people’s favourites to go up this season, but they’ve failed to get going and a draw looks great value at 13/5.

Gerwyn Price to beat Benito van de pas

Into the World Grand Prix of Darts, where Gerwyn Price and Benito van de Pas commence the evening’s action.

With Michael van Gerwen and Adrian Lewis already out, plus Gary Anderson’s withdrawal, there’s a real opportunity for one of Price or Van de Pas to go far in Dublin.

It’ll be close, but Price is on a high after defeating seventh seed Michael Smith in round one, and the Welshman appeals at 4/5 to continue tonight’s acca.

Steve West to beat Mensur Suljovic

Sticking with the tungsten, and an upset could be on the cards between Steve West and Mensur Suljovic.

Austrian Suljovic shocked all to win the Champions League of Darts as the 40/1 outsider. But having hit a career high he was far from convincing against Ian White in round one in Dublin.

West, on the other hand, claimed a big scalp to defeat James Wade 2-0, and with that momentum behind him, should have every confidence of landing another victory. At 5/2, a West win greatly enhances tonight’s five-fold.

Simon Whitlock to beat Richard North

Simon Whitlock and Richard North are good friends on the Darts circuit, but the Wizard isn’t likely to offer any chances to his rookie opponent.

North only turned professional in January, but despite a fine win to defeat Mark Webster, Whitlock should have too much in hand.

The Aussie looked solid in his opening round win over Christian Kist with an 89-average, and is 2/5 to keep the acca going.

Peter Wright to beat Mervyn King

And Peter Wright is another odds-on selection which should come good.

Snakebite was a little lucky in the first round to see off former BDO Champion Stephen Bunting, but a 95-average showed his quality.

King beat Ronny Huybrechts 2-0, but has lost eight of the last nine meetings with Wright, including all of the last six. The Scot is 2/9 to round out tonight’s five-fold.
