West Ham and Schalke feature

After a hectic week of European action, the domestic schedules resume tonight.

There’s a heightened interest in England too with West Ham United and Brighton and Hove Albion contesting some Friday night football at the London Stadium.

They’re supplementing by an intriguing dose of action on the continent.

The Coral News Team have once again come up with a tasty acca to get the weekend up and running. If all five selections are correct, a £5 wager could return £160.85. All prices and returns correct at time of writing.

West Ham to beat Brighton

They’ll be without Andy Carroll, but West Ham should have the edge here over Brighton.

The Seagulls have collected just one of their eight points on the road, while the Hammers have won two from three at the London Stadium.

Even without their big striker up front, the Irons should have enough with the likes of Manuel Lanzini, Michail Antonio and Marko Arnautovic to bag three points at 5/6.

Schalke to beat Mainz

Another home win beckons in the Bundesliga, where Schalke host Mainz.

Die Konigsblauen have lost just three home games from their last 19.

Visitors Mainz may be unbeaten in three, but one away win from 17 league games is nothing short of woeful. Schalke are 4/5 to keep the acca ticking along.

St Etienne to beat Montpellier

Why break a trend? St Etienne are a great price to win at home to Montpellier at 23/20.

Les Verts sit an impressive third in Ligue 1, largely thanks to three wins and two draws from their five home games.

Visitors Montpellier are mired in mid-table, and have failed to win three of their four games on their travels.

With the hosts averaging two goals a game on their own patch, a home win is a healthy booster to the five-fold.

Groningen to beat Willem II

The home winners keep on coming as the acca heads to the Netherlands.

Groningen have more home points than third-placed Feyenoord, while Willem II have already conceded 12 times on the road. That’s an Eredivisie high.

The hosts are 10/11 to land a third home win of the season.

Estoril to beat Boavista

The final part of tonight’s acca is a tough one. Estoril are bottom having lost five on the spin, while Boavista have lost only one of their last four.

But here’s the thing. Pedro Emanuel’s hosts have been hamstrung by playing five of their first eight games away from home.

And Boavista are winless on the road this season.  Indeed, the visitors have been terrible on their travels, failing to win eight of their last nine away games.

Estoril lost their last game 6-0, but they’ve had a fortnight to regroup. So it’s a home-win once more to conclude the five-fold tonight at 11/8.
