David Griffith’s gelding a serious speedster

Saturday’s racing looks a proper treat with up to eight races live on ITV from Chester, Sandown and Beverley.

But it’s the Beverley Bullet that stands out as the one to watch with a cracking-looking field for this Listed sprint.

There’s also the Group Three Solario and Atalanta Stakes at Sandown to look forward to.

As ever, the Coral News Team will look to guide you towards the value.

Bet of the Day

The Beverley Bullet is the race that will pique most interest on a busy day of action.

It looks a fantastic renewal too, with a number of big names in with a chance of the win.

It’s David Griffith’s Take Cover that looks value, though. The ten-year-old is as rapid as they come at this level and will more than likely set the pace from the off.

The projected forecast looks decent on Saturday so conditions will suit the speedster.

Fifth in a Group One at Royal Ascot back in June means he looks an excellent shout in this lower class race and therefore Coral’s Bet of the Day.

Godolphin to gazump Gosden

John Gosden will be looking to make it five wins in the last decade in the Solario Stakes at Sandown.

The Clarehaven Stables trainer runs Purser with Frankie Dettori on board but they will face stiff competition from Golophin’s Masar.

The two-year-old has been hugely impressive in recent months, winning on debut at Goodwood as well as an excellent fourth in the July Stakes.

Godolphin have a reputation for cracking the crossbar in this race but Masar can change all that with victory here.

Back Gosden to get it done in the Atalanta Stakes

As they say, it’s hard to keep a good dog down. John Gosden’s Nathra looks a very serious threat to the favourite here, Aljazzi.

With sunny conditions forecast, the ground should suit this four-year-old filly.

Given her impressive third in Newbury back in August, in addition to Marco Gotti’s Aljazzi being very lightly raced, and Nathra is in pole position for this Group Three renewal.
