Games from England and France

The weekend is almost upon us and an intriguing slice of Friday night football gets the action underway.

The Coral News Team’s latest punt is an Anglo-French affair, with five selections from either side of the Channel.

And if successful, a £5 wager on tonight’s acca would return £162.30. Odds and returns correct at time of writing.

AFC Wimbledon to beat MK Dons

Both AFC Wimbledon and the MK Dons look set for a season in mid-table, but it’s the home side who can prevail here.

It’s well-known just what this game means to the London outfit. They won this fixture 2-0 last season and a rocking Kingsmeadow Stadium can inspire another Wimbledon win to kick off the acca at 33/20.

Swindon to beat Forest Green

It’s been a difficult start to life in the Football League for Forest Green.

The Gloucester outfit have just one win from eight games, and have conceded a whopping 20 times already.

That’s great news for visitors Swindon, who have been excellent on their travels this term. With three wins from four on the road, conceding just twice, the Robins are well-priced at 7/5.

Monaco to beat Lille

They lost half their team in the summer, but reigning Ligue 1 champions Monaco will not back down.

They’ve won five from six, and look the only side capable of challenging PSG this term. Leonardo Jardim’s men should have far too much flair and skill at 7/10 for Lille, who have scored just once in their last five games.

Nice to beat Angers

Staying in France and Nice are bouncing back after a slow start to the campaign. A 4-0 hammering over Monaco hinted at their ability, and they’re well-poised for a third win in succession at home to Angers.

The visitors have faired reasonably this term, losing only once. But they’ve yet to test themselves against the league heavyweights, and this is where they may get found out. Nice are 19/20 with Coral to keep the acca ticking over.

Nimes to beat Niort

There’s not much value to be had in backing a Bayern Munich win tonight, so this five-fold drops into the French second tier.

After losing two of their opening three games, Nimes are flying with four wins on the spin.

They’ll be confident of making it five when they host a Niort side who are pointless in four games, and who are winless away from home. Nimes are 6/10 with Coral to round out this evening’s acca.
