Five picks from the Champions League
It’s the first legs of the Champions League play-offs this week, and Coral customers can get in on the midweek action with this tasty acca. Liverpool lead the charge, as Jurgen Klopp returns to Germany to lead his side against Hoffenheim.
Coral’s football gurus have run through the European action and picked out the best bets for this Tuesday night five-fold.
Putting down a £5 stake could lead to a £231.25 pay-out. Prices and returns mentioned are correct at the time of writing.
Let’s crack on with this five-fold…
Liverpool to beat Hoffenheim
Jurgen Klopp won’t stand for another lacklustre performance like the one against Watford on Saturday.
So Liverpool fans can expect their side to bounce back against Hoffenheim. Failure to reach the group stages is not an option for the Anfield outfit, and a first-leg win is just the ticket.
Sporting CP to beat Steaua Bucharest
Moving over to Portugal now, and the focus is on a Sporting Lisbon side which made Borussia Dortmund and Real Madrid work hard for victory last season.
So they should be a cut above for play-off opponents Steaua Bucharest. The Romanian side haven’t travelled well in Europe either, collecting just five wins from their last 22 Champions League away games. Home win.
CSKA Moscow to beat Young Boys
Over in Switzerland a goal-frenzy could be in store. Young Boys and CSKA Moscow seemingly love a goal. Young Boys can boast 15 goals from their last seven on home soil.
But they were hammered 4-0 last time out and with CSKA Moscow netting at least twice in each of their last six away games, it’s a Russian win on this acca.
Qarabag to beat Copenhagen
It’s time to hop over to Azerbaijan where champions Qarabag are looking to make the group stages for the first time.
They’ve got a good chance too. Unbeaten in their last 16 competitive fixtures, they host a Copenhagen side with just three wins from their nine competitive games this term.
APOEL to beat Sparta Prague
And finally it’s over to Cyprus where APOEL Nicosia host Sparta Prague. The hosts have fallen at this stage in each of the past two seasons, and will be desperate to put that right.
They should have the edge in this first-leg. APOEL are unbeaten in their last six home Champions League games, while Sparta Prague’s away record in the competition reads LDLDLL.
