Five-fold from across Europe

Domestic football is beginning to filter through and we saw another busy round of fixtures from the Scottish League Cup on Saturday, while British teams are becoming more and more active in European competition.

Coral punters have an interest on Sunday, with Dundee United’s League Cup tie vs Cowdenbeath probably one of the better games on the schedule. Spurs are also in friendly action against PSG in the early hours. We cast our net far and wide in an attempt to boost your betting balance, returning with a handy five-fold from across Europe. Every £10 down returns £78.10. Let’s flick through the teams…..

Dundee United beat Cowdenbeath

Scottish League Cup game three for Dundee United, who went into the weekend top of Group C, showing two wins from two starts. Little more than a decent pre-season warm-up for a side of United’s size, they are expected to progress with minimal fuss, but will want to put on a bit of a show for fans, setting the mood for the season ahead. Ray McKinnon’s crew will have one aim this term – to win the Championship and finally return to the Premiership. You’ve got to fancy them on their own patch against an opponent from the fourth-tier of Scottish football. With that in mind, Coral’s 2/11 looks more than fair.

Brondby beat Nordsjaelland

The Danish Superligaen is back up and running, and Brondby got themselves off to a great start by beating Midtjylland 4-0 on match day one. That result was more than enough to put them top of the division – fans will be hoping to make all this season, leading from start to finish, and going on a decent run in Europe. Opponents Nordsjaelland got a win of their own, but were a lot less convincing, scraping past OB 2-1. Brondby deserve our attention at 19/20.

Midtjylland beat Silkeborg

Sticking with the Danish top table and Midtjylland should know enough to bounce back from that hurtful loss to Brondby. They did little right that day, and now must put it down to a false start and go again. Opponents Silkeborg were also beaten last time, losing 2-1 to Lyngby. We’re going to play this one safe and take a home win, which has been priced up at 8/15 by our traders.

VPS beat JJK

Moving over to take in one fixture from the Finnish Veikkausliiga and VPS are trusted to boost our returns at home, available at 3/10. The selections have more than held their own this season, and sit second after 17 games played, just six points off pace-setters Helsinki. Opponents JJK are easy enough to oppose, bottom of the league on a miserable run of form that has saw them lose each of their last six.

Goteborg beat Orebro

Finishing our European tour in the Swedish Allsvenskan, Goteborg fans haven’t had an awful lot to shout about this season, and will end much closer to the bottom of the league than the top. They have a chance to bag a much-needed three points when hosting Orebro on Sunday however, the visitors just a place higher in the rankings, and showing some patchy form. This will be tight, but home comforts will make the difference at 7/10.
