QPR beat Derby

Game of the night for UK football fans goes at Pride Park where Gary Rowett leads his new Derby side out against Ian Holloway’s QPR. The locals go as odds-on favourites, but that looks worth opposing as they have managed just one win in their last 10, and don’t have an awful lot to play for down the home-straight. There’s a lot of upheaval at the club, with Rowett finding his feet, and it seems worth sticking with a QPR outfit who are unbeaten in four, winning three during that time. They hammered Rotherham 5-1 on their last go, and we have the form side at a stunning 3/1.

Aberdeen beat Dundee

The Dons are closing in on second-place in the Scottish Premiership, holding their ground from last season. That silver medal will be all the sweeter with Rangers in the top-tier, but nothing has been decided yet. Things are improving over in Govan, and that will ensure Aberdeen keep their eyes on the prize. Dundee have lost each of their last three, conceding five goals in the process. That makes them easy to oppose at 4/7.

Espanyol beat Real Betis

Taking our hunt for a winner to La Liga and Espanyol are trusted to do a job over Betis. The Budgerigars go into the round in ninth, having lost just one of their last five. They caught the eye with an impressive 3-1 win over third-placed Sevilla recently, and an effort anything near that would be enough to seal the deal again. Betis show just two wins in 10, and have -13 in their goal-difference tally. 21/20 on Espanyol to pull rank looks worthwhile.

Hoffenheim beat Hertha Berlin

Bundesliga action and this looks a tricky one to call, but Coral’s 31/20 on Hoffenheim is too good to ignore. Victory for Hoffenheim would send them third in the table, before Borussia Dortmund in the pecking order. They’re unbeaten in five at this level, a run stretching back to mid-February, and took a 1-0 from Bayer Leverkusen last time. Berlin have lost two of their last three, stuffed 4-2 by Koln on their most recent start.

Guimaraes beat Nacional

We are going to follow the stats in this one and back Guimaraes at a handy 13/10, a price that looks to be more than generous. Nacional are bottom of the Portuguese Primeira Liga, having won just three games all season. The current team look drastically out of their depth, and are worth opposing until we see much better. We’ll take them on with a side unbeaten in five, and do it with confidence.
