We pick out five home wins on Friday

We have run through Friday’s fixtures from across Europe, including games of note in England and Scotland, and returned with a punchy home win five-fold. Every £10 down pays £265.50, with prices and returns mentioned correct at the time of writing.

Brighton beat Derby

We start off with game of the night from the English second-flight, and despite losing to Newcastle recently, Brighton could propel themselves back into the title picture with a win over Derby, live on Sky Sports. Derby don’t have an awful lot to play for these days, and have won just one of their last eight league games, a run stretching back to New Year’s Eve. The Seagulls will want to prove they’re still in contention for top-spot, and start us off at 17/20.

Dundee United beat Hibs

Probably the boldest prediction of the night, but it looks a worthwhile one. Both sides are battling it out for a return to the Premiership as champions, but both have done themselves little favours in recent weeks. This is an all or nothing tie, so we can put their bad form to one side. This will be the fourth meeting of these sides this season, the team playing at home have won each of the last two. I’m sticking with that trend and having Dundee United at 2/1 – they look overpriced.

Juventus beat AC Milan

It rarely pays to oppose Juventus on league duty and they are once again in control of Serie A, eight points ahead of Roma. They Old Lady are unbeaten in eight in the league, a run showing seven wins, while Milan have failed to win half of their last 10 goes. Home advantage can only help Juve, and our 2/5 price does a job in accumulators. They can be relied upon to boost up our returns.

Espanyol beat Las Palmas

An intriguing tussle from La Liga, live on Sky Sports. Another home win for us, and that’s an easy prediction to make, with Las Palmas managing just one win in their last half-dozen, a run including four defeats on the spin. Espanyol are no world beaters themselves, but they have been picking up points, and are three places higher in the pecking order. In front of their own support we trust Espanyol at a decent 21/20.

Marseille beat Angers

A dip into the French Ligue 1 to round us off, and Marseille are the winners over lowly Angers. The selection enters on the back of a morale-boosting 4-1 win over Lorient last time, but they will need to bring their best again to match an opponent oozing confidence thanks to a winning run. This will be tight, and we’ll need a rub of the green, but Marseille should pull rank at 4/6.
