£5 returns £277.55 in our Thursday acca

The Premier League darts is back on our screens and you can read our in-depth preview of the outright betting here. Looking closer to home however and we break down the week one matches from the Metro Radio Arena, offering our best five-fold. £5 pays £277.55, with prices and returns correct at the time of writing.

Wade to beat Huybrechts

James Wade is always a tricky man to be placing your money on, for the simple fact that punters never know which version is going to turn up. At his best he more than lives up to the nickname The Machine, and we’re taking a chance that he brings his A-Game for the curtain-raiser. He boasts a fantastic head-to-head record with Huybrechts and starts us off at a very impressive 10/11.

Lewis to beat Barneveld

This promises to be one of the standout matches of the night, and will have plenty scratching their head at a loss to predict the winner. Not us however, and we come down strongly on the side of Team Jackpot. Lewis hasn’t been showing what he is capable of recently, but I reckon a brand-new competition, one he enjoys playing in, will give him a chance to wipe the slate clean. Lewis win at 6/4.

Taylor to beat Chisnall

Another major darts tournament, and another chance for the doubters to raise their heads and squeak that Taylor is finished at the top level of darts. Sports fans know that to be nonsense, he will go on as long as he thinks he can compete at the top level, and when he believes he’s not up to scratch, he will be the first to tell us. This looks a perfect opportunity to boost the confidence and a Taylor win lends a hand at 4/5.

MVG fired up to defend his crown

Anderson to beat Van Gerwen

Now, this is the match that will either make-or-break us on the night, and Anderson goes in to boost up the returns. He’ll be hurting from that loss to MVG last week and will be desperate to go out and lay down a marker, showing the Dutchman he is a real contender for his crown. The 3/1 on the Scotsman is fantastic value and can’t be ignored.

Wright to beat Klaasen

Finally, Peter Wright jumps aboard as he shows a formidable head-to-head record with Klaasen and will look to unnerve him early. Thursday’s selection has won the las six matches between these two, a run stretching back to 2013. If that’s not worth having, I don’t know what is. Wright looks right at 8/13.
