Rose poised to pounce on Sunday

Going into the business end of this year’s Farmers Insurance Open and the tournament has not passed without interest in the early stages. Tiger Woods made headlines by lining up for a rare outing, but he had little impact, and missed the cut.

Going into Sunday night and defending champion Brandt Snedeker is tied for the lead with Patrick Rodgers. The players can’t be separated by the scores at present, but there’s plenty of daylight between them in the betting, with Snedeker hot-favourite.

Snedeker chasing two-in-a-row

36-year-old American Brandt sits on nine under-par and Coral punters looking to back the Nashville resident to stay on-course and get the job done, claiming two-in-a-row, can back him in the outright market at a handy 11/4 with us. That’s sure to be popular this afternoon.

Rose looking for a big finish

Rodgers chasing debut win

Patrick Rodgers has handled himself with credit so far, but is expected to unravel when the going gets tough, and if you’d rather take a pop on the young-gun from Indiana, then 15/2 is your prize, at the time of writing. That would give you the form player, and the better price, as Rodgers put in round of the day on Saturday as he zones in on what would be his first PGA Tour win. It would certainly be some way to achieve it too.

Rose to bloom on final night

Snedeker’s main danger in the betting ring comes from Englishman Justin Rose, with the Brit placed handily after three days. Sitting just two-shots off the pace, tied on -7 with a few others, including Stewart Cink, Rose will be looking to call on his big-game experience to mount a challenge on the final day. 15/2 is the price on him finishing as winner of this year’s Farmers Insurance Open.
