Rio Rialto and Racenight Jenny among TV wagers for Wimbledon

Rio Rialto ready to rock at Wimbledon
T5 Rio Rialto can cash-in on a drop in class to land division three of the 480m Standard Open at 19:54 on tonight’s card at Wimbledon screened live on Racing Post Greyhound TV (Sky 468, Freesat 250).
Danny Riordan’s charge has only won two of his 15 starts but has run some solid races in defeat and is a real speedy sort when timing it right at the lids.
Although only fifth last week behind Peregrine Falcon, the son of Droopys Jet shaped better than the bare result suggests as he showed plenty of early pace until getting crowded at halfway to eventually be beaten just over five lengths.
That was a much hotter contest than this and Rio Rialto moved off from Trap 3 suggesting that the switch to the orange jacket could well suit and enable him to turn the first bend in front.
If doing so he can quickly open up and put the race to bed.
Badabing tough to beat
With Oaks finalist Roxholme Hottie a non-runner in the 480m Open at 20:58 the way looks clear for T3 Badabing to land the spoils.
John Mullins’ son of Kinloch Brae made the finals of the Swindon Produce and Coral Champion Stakes at Romford and comes into the race in good form having won three of his last two starts.
In the last of those at Nottingham he showed terrific early pace to land a 3/4 length trap-to-line success.
Although yet to win in five starts at the venue, Badabing has run well to make the frame on four occasions and if trapping in his best style this looks his for the taking on the pick of his form.
Racenight Jenny to return to winning ways
T1 Racenight Jenny is a real credit to connections and rates a solid bet in the 687m Stayers Open (21:32).
June Harvey’s veteran bitch has won three of her 12 starts at the venue and looked as good as ever in the heats of the Kent Cesarewitch at Crayford two starts back when showing plenty of early pace from the red jacket and overcoming a couple of bumps before surging clear to score by 7 1/2 lengths.
The daughter of Duke’s Special went on to runner a blinder in the final nine days ago when runner-up to Dashing Star, keeping on strongly to be beaten two lengths after getting badly crowded on two occasions.
Racenight Jenny was arguably and unlucky loser and this looks a less competitive affair which represents an excellent opportunity to dominate from the off and get back to winning ways.
Falcon can swoop to glory
T1 Peregrine Falcon is in fine form at present and impossible to oppose in the 480m Open that brings proceedings to a close (21:48).
The dog has some top class form to his name and finished a 4 1/4 length sixth behind Jaytee Jet in the Derby final at this venue back in June.
Now in the care of John Mullins, the son of Ace Hi Rumble comes into the race having won his heat in the Kent Derby heat at Central Park in terrific style before looking unlucky in the semis when getting badly crowded on more than one occasion before finishing third.
Peregrine Falcon has since got back to winning ways in fine style when showing plenty of early pace to beat the in-form Queen Asia by 1/2 a length over course and distance seven days ago.
He wore the red jacket that day and if breaking in similar fashion is going to be very tough to pass in what looks a weaker contest.
