Parkers Poison the standout punt at Peterborough
Action from Peterborough and Romford takes centre stage tonight on Racing Post Greyhound TV (Live Sky 468, Freesat 25) and T3 Parkers Poison rates the best bet at the former in the 620m Summer Stayers Open at 21:15.
Kim Robins’ bitch has some useful form to her name and was impressive in her last competitive start when landing the Derby Purse Grand Final at Yarmouth by 1 3/4 lengths.
That sets a high standard in this line-up and the daughter of Godsend moved well in a recent trial at the track when clocking a very respectable 38.41.

Parkers Poison is sure to improve for that sighter and looks ideally drawn on the outside of a slow starter start in Trap 1 and one returning from injury in Trap 2.
The selection should easily have enough pace to clear that pair and once in front can quickly make her class tell to open up a race winning lead.
Gale can blow away rivals
In the 435m Standard Open (20:42), T5 Jet Stream Gale looks drawn for action. Diane Jinks’ dog comes into the race in terrific shape having won three of his last five starts.
The son of Ace Hi Rumble has also ran very well to finish runner-up on the two other occasions and has the perfect blend of early pace and stamina.
Jet Steam Gale also looks nicely housed as T1 Ceroc Grumpy and T2 Danish Duke are both early paced types who need to lead and could tangle in the dash to the first bend.
If they do then the selection looks the one most likely to take advantage and, if getting on the bunny early doors, is going to be very hard to peg back.
Peterborough best bets
20:42 T5 Jet Stream Gale (NB)
21:15 T3 Parkers Poison (NAP)
Swift Rage ready to rumble at Romford
T3 Swift Rage rates a solid bet to get back to winning ways in the S1 at Romford (20:50).
Maggie Lucas’s dog missed the break last time before encountering stacks of trouble in-running but had previously run very well to finish third in an Open contest over corse and distance.
Prior to that he had run out an impressive winner in this grade and looked a young stayer to keep onside.

The son of Kiloch Brae is blessed with plenty of early dash when timing it right at the lids and looks nicely housed to ping out and make the first bend in front to register a trap-to-line success.
Well-drawn Winston worth a wager
In the A1 (20:34), T1 Forward Winston looks nicely drawn and decent value to land the spoils.
Phil Simmonds’ charge is a six-time winner in the grade and has a strike rate of 33 per cent when sporting the red jacket (nine wins from 27 starts).
His best recent time of 24.24 reads well and he looks nicely housed on the inside of T2 Teejays Tel who lacks early pace.
With the outside duo also very closely matched as regards sectionals there is a possibility of them coming together at the vital first bend and that would allow Forward Winston a great chance of turning in front and playing catch me if you can if getting away in his best fashion.
Romford best bets
20:34 T1 Forward Winston (NB)
20:50 T3 Swift Rage (NAP)
