King Kid among wagers for TV card at Wimbledon

King Kid can kick rivals into touch
There is a decent mixed card at Wimbledon tonight on Racing Post Greyhounds TV (Sky 468, Freesat 250) and T5 King Kid rates the standout bet in the 480m Puppies Open at 20:10.
This son of Droopys Scolari is one of three runners in the race trained by Liz McNair and has made a highly promising start to his career, winning four of his nine outings.
The last of those came on debut over course and distance where he showed bags of early pace to record an impressive 3 1/2 length trap-to-line success.
King Kid backed that up with a cracking second to Kildallon Bolt in a hotter contest at the track seven days ago where, after being forced to check on the run-up and getting crowded at the first, he stuck to the task well to go down by just a length.
That form reads well in the context of this contest and King Kid should have enough pace to lead the bend on the outside and play catch me if you can.
Cooly Caviar a tasty punt
In the 687m Stayers Open (20:42), T1 Cooly Caviar looks to hold outstanding claims of landing the spoils.
Claude Gardiner’s bitch has some top class form to her name and made the semi-finals of the Grand Prix at Sunderland and Romford’s Champion Stakes.
The daughter of Droopys Cain shapes as if she will relish this stiff six-bend test and looks ideally housed on the rails to turn in a handy pitch.
Once doing so she should have too much power for her rivals come the business end of affairs.
Pacey Karnage drawn to cut loose
T1 Pacey Karnage ran a blinder when runner-up last time out over course and distance and can go one better to land the 480m Maiden Open (21:15).
Paul Young’s bitch threw down a persistent challenge from half-way before going down by 1 3/4 lengths to King Eden, clocking a very respectable 28.62 in the process.
That is better than anything her rivals have achieved of late and she looks to have a great draw on the inside of two middle runners and three wides.
The daughter of Blackstone Gene should get acres of space to operate on the run to the first bend and a reproduction of the 4.87 sectional she produced in a trial at the track can see her ping out and make all.
Logical the Answer to finale
In the A1 that brings proceedings to a close (21:48), T5 Logical Answer is fancied to make a winning debut.
John Higgins’ pup has impressed in two recent trials at the track, clocking identical splits of 4.68 and a best time of 29.07.
That is at least two lengths quicker than anything his rivals have achieved, and the son of Droopys Scolari may well have got in lightly on his first competitive start at the venue.
He also looks to have a nice draw and enough early pace to lead the outside, and if doing so can prove too strong for main market rival T1 Droopys Lulu.
Wimbledon best bets
20:10 T5 King Kid (NAP)
20:42 T1 Cooly Caviar
21:15 T1 Pacey Karnage (NB)
21:48 T5 Logical Answer
