As the Olympics rolls on, plenty of household names are in action at the Summer Games on Tuesday, August 9th, including Britain’s own champion Andy Murray and NBA superstar Pau Gasol.

Read on to find out our four fantastic tips to take on the day…

Tennis: Men’s singles

Rio Olympic Games 2016 - Day Two

Defending Olympics champion Murray continues his path for a second Gold as he takes on Argentina’s Juan Monaco in the second round after his convincing win over Viktor Troicki.

However, in the duo’s previous five meetings, they’ve gone the distance (three sets) on four occasions. Murray won last time out 2-1, so he is a tempting 4/1 price to do so once more and set up a tie with one of Benoit Paire and Fabio Fognini.

Basketball: Men’s

Basketball - Spain vs Italy

Spain, winner of three of the last four EuroBasket titles, are ranked second in the world and possess superb scoring talent in the form of Pau Gasol, who averaged 25.6 points in the competition last year.

Leandro Barbosa and Nene headline Brazil’s roster and look set to make this a high-scoring encounter. The two nations have averaged 155.8 points between them in their last four run-outs on the parquet and are an excellent 13/8 to score a total more than 155.5 in this crucial fixture.

Football: Women’s

London Olympic Games - Day 13

USA’s women won Gold at the last Olympics in London, after beating Japan in the final, and had to come through Colombia 3-0 in the Group Stage to so.

They meet again and, as USA have defeated this opposition by that same scoreline before too at the 2011 World Cup, back them to repeat that feat at 9/2.

Rugby sevens: Men’s

World Rugby Sevens series - Allianz Stadium

It is fair to say that Argentina are ahead of USA in terms of rugby development, although the latter have shown their promise in the sevens version of the game.

The Americans go into this match as the favourites, but Argentina represent much better value at 5/4, which makes sense as they finished runners-up ahead of their upcoming opponents at the 2015 Pan American Games.
