Tiger to burn bright in Coral Sussex Cup Final

Dorotas Tiger the Coral Sussex Cup value
The Coral Sussex Cup final (21:08) is the feature race on a stellar evening of Open action at Hove tonight screened Live on Sky Sports 5, and T3 Dorotas Tiger looks terrific value to land the spoils.
Kevin Hutton’s dog has taken well to the venue, winning two of his four starts and finishing runner-up twice.
The son of Droopys Oscar got badly crowded and bumped in the first round before running on strongly to go down by just 3/4 of a length and then showed early pace and tremendous tenacity to beat Barricane Bullet by 3/4 of a length in last week’s semi-final.
Dorotas Tiger is very dangerous when getting loose on the front end but is also a strong runner who never knows when he is beat.
With the possibility of scrimmaging on the inside between red-hot favourite Oscar Whisky in Trap 1 and Trap 2 Calco Flyer who will be heading to the rails, a handy break can see Dorotas turn handy or even lead at the first.
He will then be in a great position and if able to get to get his head in front I can’t see anything being strong enough to pick him up.
Here’re my thoughts and selections on the seven supporting Open races on Sky:
19:11 Coral Backs Children With Cancer UK Trophy 515m
T6 Droopys Missouri brings the best form to the table and rates a solid bet. Paul Young’s dog is two from three at the venue and the last of those successes came in the Future Champion Unraced Final back in May. He produced a 4.33 sectional that day to win in a time of 29.75. A repeat of that would be more than good enough to see him scoot clear and win this.
19:26 Coral Sprint Final 285m
T1 Ela Ela Genie is an improving sprinter and looks to have bagged a good draw in the red. Mark Wallis’s son of Brett Lee impressed when scoring at Nottingham earlier in the month and is entitled to improve for his first run at the track last week when slowly away before running on strongly to finish a 1/2 length runner-up to Swift Watson. With possible trouble on the outside he can boss the rails and turn in front.
19:43 Download Coral From The App Store Stakes 515m
T3 Lenson Tramore looks a lively outsider in a race where he has a potentially decent make up. The favourite Oscar Junior in Trap 1 will have to tread lively to avoid T2 My Mate Max in the run to the first and there is also the possibility of the closely matched Lemon Jamesy and Southfield Blue coming together on the outside. That could set it up for a closer, and Tramore fits that bill have been beaten just two lengths when staying on well to be third to Dorotas Tiger in the first of last week’s Coral Sussex Cup semi-finals.
19:59 Coral Puppy Trophy Final 515m
T5 Bubbly Bluebird is a very exciting prospect and impossible to oppose. Paul Young’s dog looked a superstar in the making when landing the Puppy Plate Final at Sunderland by a wide margin and flew out of the traps to romp to a 4 1/2 length success over course and distance last week in a time of 29.56. That is head and shoulders above what his rivals have achieved and the son of Droopys Sydney can ping out and make all.
20:16 Visit Coral.co.uk Trophy 515m Hurdle
T3 Ballymac Manix is a top class hurdler when timing it right at the traps and can get the better of main market rival Ballymac Loch to get back to winning ways. Seamus Cahill’s dog is 1-1 from the white jacket at the venue and has finished in front of Loch on the last two occasions they have met. If leading at the first he can put his back straight pace to maximum use and quickly put the race to bed.
20:33 Coral Ladies Trophy Final 515m
T5 Live Annie is a bitch with bundles of potential and can get the better of the favourite Patchys Kerry to land the spoils. Seamus Cahill’s youngster showed what she is capable of when producing a lightning 4.21 sectional to make all and slam the highly regarded Newinn Blitz by 6 1/4 lengths back in May in a time of 28.68. That sets a clear standard and with Patchys Kerry 0-6 at the venue Annie looks to have plenty in her favour.
20:51 Bet With Coral In-Shop, Online & On Mobile 695m
T1 Billys Bullet is one of the most popular dogs in training and looks a cut-above his rivals. The Mark Wallis trained son of Ace Hi Rumble has been a terrific servant and overcame serious injury to win the final of this year’s Coral Regency over course and distance back in May by 3 1/4 lengths. He produced 14.10 sectional that day to make all and nothing will be able to live with him in this if he starts in similar fashion.
