Sallows Ford can swoop to success at Monmore

There is some excellent Open race action on this evening’s card at Monmore, screened live on Racing Post Greyhound TV (Sky 468, Freesat 250) and T6 Sallows Ford rates the standout bet in the 20:41.

Paul White’s dog is blessed with early pace, and showed a good attitude to come again when headed and beat Tyrur Flynn by a short-head over course and distance on his penultimate start.

Nottingham Greyhound Racing

He then lost little in defeat last time out at the track, when going down by a head to the smart Damson Jam and looks to have a great draw as the sole wide seed.

With four railers on the inside, and Trap 4 Roswell Iceman sure to be cutting in at the corner, there is a distinct possibility of a coming together.

That should allow Sallows Ford acres of room on the outside and he has enough early boot to turn in front and quickly establish a race winning lead.

Making Paper poised to follow-up

T5 Making Paper scored in terrific style over course and distance last week and rates a solid bet to follow up in the 19:39.

Diane Henry’s son of Hondo Black is class act who won the 2015 Henlow Derby and also made the final of the Derby itself earlier last year.

Greyhounds - Romford Greyhound Stadium

He has mixed it with the very best and clocked a 4.38 sectional before scoring by 3 3/4 lengths in a time of 27.96 seven days ago.

That sets the standard and, with the possibilty of the closely matched Clondoty Alex and La Cuchilla coming together on the inside, a good break can see Make It Paper lead the bend or turn handy before kicking in the turbo mid-race to land the spoils.

Narabane Flyer drawn to run riot

In the 630m contest at 19:56, T6 Narabane Flyer looks a cut-above his rivals and drawn to run riot.

Maxine Locke’s dog has some top class form to his name and showed what he could do over course and distance back in February, when romping to an 8 1/2 length success.

Greyhounds - Brighton & Hove Greyhound Stadium

The son of Melody’s Royal produced a lightning split of 12.63 before powering clear to clock a time of 37.48.

That is head and shoulders above what his rivals have achieved and, as the sole wide seed, Narabane Flyer has a peach of a draw from which to cut-loose.

Delano value to deliver

In the other 630m contest (21:30), T6 Shellam Delano looks cracking value to follow-up last week’s winning debut over course and distance.

Jimmy Wright’s dog is a really powerful sort and came from off the pace to surge clear to beat Coral Regency winner Billy’s Bullet by 2 3/4 lengths.

Greyhounds - Romford Greyhound Stadium

The form has been franked with Billy’s scoring in good style last night at Hove, and the selection has nothing to fear with the re-opposing Mustang Golden in Trap 2, who finished a further 1/2 length behind in third.

This race could also be run to suit and, if within striking distance, turning for home Delano will be tough to hold.

Monmore best bets

19:39 T5 Making Paper
19.56 T6 Narabane Flyer
20:41 T6 Sallows Ford (NAP)
21:30 T5 Shellam Delano (NB)
