Castledown Hero among TV Tips for Harlow and Towcester

Hero hot stuff at Harlow
There are good mixed cards at Harlow and Towcester tonight screened live on Racing Post Greyhound TV (Sky 468, Freesat 250), and T6 Castledown Hero rates the best bet at the former in the 415m Standard Open at 21:15.
Darren Whitton’s dog has won four of his nine starts in Opens at the venue and is three from five from the stripes.
He also has a victory to his name over main market rival Vicarage Champ three starts back when producing a lightning 4.81 sectional to make all and score easily by 2 3/4 lengths.
There was no fluke about that success, and as the sole wide seed in the line-up Castledown Hero can capitalise on possible jostling on the inside to ping out and make all.
Lots to like about Loki
T4 Roeview Loki has built up an impressive record at the venue and can further enhance it with victory in the 238m Sprint Open (20:26).
Carol Grasso’s son of Kinloch Brae has won three of his four starts at the track and is 1-1 from the black jacket.
When registering that success he showed terrific early pace to cut the bend and make all to beat Stonepark Mo who reopposes tonight.
To me there is no reason why Roeview Loki should not confirm that form, especially as T2 Stonepark Mo has a useful Romford raider in the shape of Droopys Calm on her inside to try and clear on the run to the bend.
Ballymac Scol tough to beat
In the A5 at 22:03, T1 Ballymac Scol can exploit what looks a dream draw to notch a deserved success.
The son of Droopys Scolari has run blinders to finish runner-up in his last two starts in the grade when not getting the quickest of starts before staying on strongly at the death.
However, Ballymac Scol is capable of a smash break as he showed when clocking a 4.81 sectional from the red jacket to bolt up over course and distance back in May.
With a dog devoid of early pace on his outside, Ballymac Scol should get acres of space on the run to the first bend and if leading or turning handy should have too much middle race pace for his rivals to handle.

Swift Glow can shine at Towcester
T6 Swift Glow looks a young stayer going places and cracking value in the S1 at Towcester now eased in grade (21.40).
Kevin Hutton’s young bitch has only had seven starts and relished the step up to 655m when opening her account in an Open over course and distance two starts back.
She came with a power-packed finish after being slowly away to win comfortably by 1 1/4 lengths, and backed that up with a solid staying on third in another Open at the track last week when very slowly away and along the leaders too much early rope.
This is easier and represents a good opportunity for the promising daughter of Paradise Madison to get back to winning ways.
Fabulous Model to turn on the style
T3 Fabulous Model is another taking a drop in class and looks a worthy favourite to land Division 2 of the 906m TV Trial Stakes Open at 21:06.
Dave Firmager’s bitch has some excellent form to her name, including when finishing third to Droopys Cottage and a fine second to Fizzypop Buddy in hot contests at Hove.
She was also far from disgraced when third to Billys Bullet in the final of the Coral Regency at the same venue, and the form of those races is head and shoulders above anything her rivals have achieved.
It’s All About Will in the sprint
In the 260m D1 sprint (22:11), T2 All About Will can use his early pace to maximum effect for a trap-to-line success.
Stephen Rayner’s youngster ran well on debut over the trip when missing the break and getting bumped before going down by just a length, and duly improved for that experience when landing a gamble over course and distance seven days ago by a short-head.
Judge on those efforts All About Will looks one to keep onside, and with the prospect of plenty more to come the son of Godsend looks a potential Open racer in the making and can take this en route to better things.
