The 2016 World Matchplay has arrived, so darts fans – put down your practice boards and take a dabble with Coral’s latest arrow-centric bet of the day to celebrate Saturday’s curtain raising session.

Our selected Winter Gardens wager features the first round match between seeded PDC star Dave Chisnall and up and coming young-gun Benito van de Pas, with the pair’s encounter 15/8 to be the one on the night with the most maximums.

So, read on to find out why you should seize upon this Saturday evening special…

Chizzy and Big Ben to chime

This match-up between Chisnall, unofficially dubbed ‘Maximums Man’ for his prowess on the oche, and bright prospect Big Ben could prove to be one of the opening weekend’s highlight wrangles.

Dutch dartsman Van de Pas has posed problems for established oche star Chizzy several times, beating the English arrowsmith in three of their four previous rumbles.

So, this one could go all the way – especially with Chisnall in-form of late after recently reaching the semi-finals of the Shanghai Masters, the quarters of the Tokyo Masters and winning the PDPA Players Championship in Barnsley as part of the Pro Tour.

Both players will need to up their performances for this Blackpool battle, in one of the most prestigious PDC competitions around, so expect an entertaining outing and an abundance of 180s.

Chizzy certainly has previous experience of bringing out the big-guns, having notched 134 maximums across 2016 so far, with a tremendous tally of 12 his highest number of 180s scored in a single game.

Promising first round World Matchplay rival Van de Pas has also been hitting those high notes rather sweetly lately as well, striking as many as seven against former BDO World Championship runner-up Alan Norris.

While, the 23-year-old also has previous memories of clocking up the maximums in matches against Chizzy, having scored four in one of their previous encounters. So, take this fantastic 15/8 price for this darts duel to see the most 180s on the night!
