Razldazl Brian hot stuff at Harlow

T4 Razldazl Brian looks decent value against the red-hot jolly Broadway Turbine in the 415m Standard Open at Harlow tonight (21:48) screened live on Racing Post Greyhound TV (Sky 468, Freesat 250).

Tony Collett’s dog has some useful form on his travels and clocked an impressive 26.09 trial on his first look at that track when posting a 4.85 sectional.

The son of Razldazl Billy is entitled to improve for that sighter, and the time reads very well in regards to Broadway Turbine’s recent best of 26.52.

Turbine also has to counter an early move from the pacy Quivers Bliss drawn on her outside, and with the possibility of scrimmaging on the rails Razldazl Brian can use his early pace to hopefully turn the bend in front and make all.

Bodmin Moor drawn to attack

In the 415m Maiden Open (20:42), T6 Bodmin Moor can exploit a good draw to land the spoils.

Jim Daly’s son of Blackstone Gene has plenty of early pace and has won six of his 24 starts from the stripes at the track.

Greyhounds - Newcastle Ground Track

He also performed with credit in Open company three starts back when running on well to be beaten just a length in third, and should be able to clear Henlow raider T5 Quivers Warrior who lacks a look around the track.

If that proves to be the case, Bodmin Moor could take some pegging back as there is a distinct possibility of trouble on the inside with Traps 1, 2 and 3 all desperate to bag the rails.

Harlow selections

20.42 T6 Bodmin Moor (NB)
21.48 T4 Razldazl Brian (NAP)

Marco can strike again at Towcester

T2 Blackstone Marco has a tremendous record at Towcester and can further enhance it with victory in 500m RPGTV Standard Final on tonight’s card (21:24).

Heather Dimmock’s veteran has won five of his eight starts at the venue and is two from three from the blue jacket.

Greyhounds - Brough Park

He is one of the most popular greyhounds in training and looked a good as ever when flying past early leader Calco Flyer on the way to clocking 29.33 in last week’s qualifying round.

That was comfortably the quickest time, and given that Calco Flyer had every chance there is no reason to see why Marco should not confirm the form.

Swift Glow can shine bright

In the RPGTV Maiden Stayers (21:24), T5 Swift Glow rates a solid bet now stepped up to 655m.

Kevin Hutton’s young bitch has only had five starts, and has been a big eye-catcher on more than one occasion over the standard trip of 480m.

They include last time out when daughter of Paradise Madison was very slowly away before coming with a power-packed finish to be beaten just 1/2 a length into second.

Wimbledon Greyhounds

It was not the first time that Swift Glow had been seen doing all her best work at the finish, and she looks a highly promising type who will relish this test.

To me, she looks a useful stayer in the making and can take this en route to better things.

Towcester selections

9.24 T2 Blackstone Marco (NAP)
9.40 T5 Swift Glow (NB)
