Klopp taking risks ahead of cup final

Stoke City v Liverpool - Capital One Cup - Semi Final - First Leg - Britannia Stadium

Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp gambled on the fitness of key attacking duo Philippe Coutinho and Daniel Sturridge for their midweek Europa League last 32 tie against Augsburg. Whether both Reds stars will be able to play twice in less than 72 hours remains to be seen.

The Anfield outfit are also injury-hit in defence still, with Dejan Lovren yet to return after a lengthy lay-off and fellow Eastern European centre back Martin Skrtel struggling with a hamstring problem.

Man City’s main man to exploit weakness

Sergio Aguero, meanwhile, has scored 10 goals in 11 games in 2016 to date, and that lethal form presents a huge problem to Liverpool. Without their best defenders fit, rash-in-the-tackle replacement Mamadou Sakho looks like a real weak link.

Britain Soccer Premier League

Argentina international Aguero, meanwhile, has three in six Premier League starts against the Reds, and four in nine outings overall across all competitions. Coupled with the likes of David Silva and Yaya Toure, who know what it takes to win trophies, Man City look like deserved favourites to seal another Capital One Cup triumph.

Should Pellegrini’s team fail to lift the trophy, and that honour go to Liverpool instead, then fear not. Coral will compensate you with a €/£5 free bet that matches your stake.
