Coral’s bet of the day

  • Van Barneveld knocked out previous heavy favourite Van Gerwen in last 16
  • Five-time world champ Barney boasts far superior experience than Smith
  • Wright edged an epic against Chisnall and will be in high confidence
  • Snakebite tackles Lewis after beating him in two of last three duels
  • This offer is an enhanced 3/1 price exclusively for Coral customers

Van Barneveld and Wright both to win at 3/1

It’s the New Year! And, to celebrate the start of 2016, Coral writers pick a brilliant bet of the day to enjoy and profit on to perhaps help punters forget about their morning hangover?

2015 William Hill PDC World Championship - Day Eleven - Alexandra Palace

With it being the quarter-finals of the current edition of the PDC World Darts Championship, we think it’s wise to back in-form duo Raymond van Barneveld and Peter Wright both to win on Friday evening.

Enhanced odds of 3/1 in this Snakebite-Barney double say this bet will come off, which is easy money judging by the following…

Van Barneveld and Wright are short-priced respectively at 8/11 and even-money to beat Michael Smith and Adrian Lewis, which gives even more value to this offer.

Battlers Barney and Snakebite in top form

On top of that, both are in high confidence having seen off incredibly tough opposition in the last round. Barney just knocked out the world number one and previous heavy tournament favourite Michael van Gerwen 4-3, before Snakebite inflicted the same scoreline on Dave Chisnall the very next match in another epic.

2015 William Hill PDC World Championship - Day Twelve - Alexandra Palace

Five-time world champion Van Barneveld, meanwhile, will have been ecstatic after his victory over the young Dutch pretender, and Smith will know that a rampant Barney is almost unstoppable.

The 48-year-old fan favourite will also no doubt have the crowd for support, and can use the recent birth of his grandson as inspiration. He also boasts a 5-3 career record over Bully Boy, has never lost to him in a major event and triumphed in their their only previous World Championship meeting in 2012.

Wright, meanwhile, has enjoyed facing Lewis recently, having won two of their last three battles – both of which were in quarter-finals too.

So, what are you waiting for? Grab these thrilling 3/1 odds while you can to celebrate the New Year!
