Warriors roll into Indiana gunning for their 27th straight win

The last NBA team to win 27 consecutive games was Miami Heat (2012-13), establishing the second-longest winning streak in Association history. Golden State Warriors can match this achievement with victory tonight, when they visit the Indiana Pacers as 6.5-point favourites in Coral’s NBA betting.
Golden State’s visit to Indiana marks the fifth stop on their current seven-game road trip, which has thus far included straight up wins over Utah, Charlotte, Toronto, and Brooklyn.
The Dubs had a close call in their date with the Raptors on Saturday, falling behind in their fourth quarter before scoring 17 points in the final three and a half minutes to seal the win.
They faced less of a struggle a day later in Brooklyn, pounding the Nets 114-98, picking up the against the spread win as 11.5-point favourites to improve to 23-0 on the season, and 7-2-1 ATS in their last 10.
Not surprisingly, reigning NBA MVP Steph Curry continues to lead the way for Golden State, scoring more than 40 points twice during their road swing, while averaging 34.5 points-per-game and hitting over 60 per cent from behind the three-point line. Coral make the Warriors their 2/1 favourites to repeat as NBA champions.
Pacers on the rebound
Indiana’s revival has been one of the big stories in the Eastern Conference this season.
After finishing with a disappointing 38-44 record last season, missing the NBA post-season for the first time in five years, Indy has bounced back, winning 10 of 13 to seize second place in the Eastern Conference with a 12-7 record.
However, the Pacers return home following a four-game Western road swing mired in a two-game losing streak, posting a pair of outright losses to Portland and the Jazz as betting favourites.
The club has performed well in the first game back on home hardwood following a multi-game road trip, going 4-1 SU in their last five, and also enjoyed success in recent matchups with the Warriors, going 5-3 SU and ATS in their last eight overall, and 7-1 SU and ATS in their last eight at home against GSW.
No NBA team has ever gone undefeated on a road trip lasting seven or more games. If the Warriors can get past Indiana, they will face another tough test on Friday when they visit the Boston Celtics, winners of their last three at home, before wrapping up their journey in Milwaukee against the Bucks on Saturday.
The Pacers play five of their next six at home, taking on the Heat on Friday before travelling to Detroit to battle the Pistons on Saturday night.
Pistons win streak ends, Gizzlies struggle as underdogs
Detroit saw a four-game SU and ATS win streak end on Monday with a 104-84 loss to the Charlotte Hornets, but can get back on track on Wednesday when they entertain Memphis, before getting their shot at the 1-21 Philadelphia 76ers on Friday night.
The Grizzlies ride a 9-3 SU run into their Tuesday night matchup with Oklahoma City Thunder, whom they face as 2.5-point home underdogs.
Memphis has produced underwhelming results as a betting underdog this season, going 1-6 SU and 2-5 ATS, with their lone victory coming against the struggling Houston Rockets last month.
The Thunder improved to 12-8 SU with a 98-95 win over Sacramento on Sunday, but have been a bitter disappointment, going 2-9 ATS in their last 11, covering just once as favourites during that stretch.
In other NBA betting action on Tuesday night, the Trail Blazers visit the Cleveland Cavaliers as 8.5-point underdogs the Rockets battle Brooklyn as 4.5-point road favourites, and the Kings are favoured by 1.5 over Utah, while the Orlando Magic travel to Denver to face the Nuggets as 3.5-point favourites.
