Hosts have pressure of home record to preserve
It is a tussle between respective second and third placed Bundesliga giants Borussia Dortmund and Wolfsburg which will have German fans enthralled this weekend, as Die Wolfe attempt to chip away at the seven point gap their guests have opened up.

Dieter Hecking’s hosts are priced generously at 3/1 with Coral to win, considering their astounding club record of 29 Bundesliga home games unbeaten. Yet, they do face danger from Dortmund, who look most likely to dethrone juggernauts Bayern Munich, and have tasted defeat just twice in the league this term.
In a blow for the Lower Saxony side, defender Dante is suspended, meaning Die Wolfe’s rearguard will be up against it, as their visitors have clocked-up a fearsome 40 goals in just 14 games. Though playmaking prodigy Julian Draxler (4/1 in the anytime market) is tipped to return, with former Chelsea threat Andre Schurrle 10/3 in the same market.
With one eye on a crucial midweek Champions League clash against Manchester United, should punters fancy Wolfsburg to retain their Volkswagen Arena record, they may be better to back at 3/1 for a draw, after winning just two of their last five frays across all competitions.

Though, Die Wolfe’s Dutch dangerman Bas Dost, 13/2 to have the final say, praised his side’s passionate support. “It does not matter whether we play away or at home, but it’s just a wicked feeling in front of our own fans. Getting three points will be important,” the striker said.
Dortmund to stop Die Wolfe closing gap
Crucially, Dortmund’s only defeats have come away from home, but Thomas Tuchel’s tenacious and talented team are still odds-on 3/4 favourites due to their excellent attack.
Strength in depth means stars such as Man Utd-owned Adnan Januzaj are often left on the bench and it is tough to see the Black and Yellows failing to find the net. Dortmund have only drawn a blank in one game in 25 across all competitions, and demolished Stuttgart 4-1 last time out.

BVB’s brilliant form is largely due to prolific predator Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, who has hit 17 from 14 league outings so far, so is superb at 7/2 to strike first. Dortmund’s most dangerous attacking asset, who has hit three in six appearances versus this opposition, will have to be at his best here to hand his side a first away victory over Die Wolfe since 2012.
Supported by such talent as Marco Reus (6/5 to strike a seventh career goal against Die Wolfe anytime) and Henrikh Mkhitaryan (6/4), the Black and Yellows do look value at 2/1 to win with both teams to score.
