Coral’s five great Grand Slam of Darts tips
The Grand Slam of Darts returns this weekend, with a number of high-profile darting duels between top-drawer tungsten superstars. Though this tournament has a twist: both BDO and PDC players will compete for the crown.
So, to celebrate this exciting event, Coral present five fantastic group stage tips for customers ahead of the weekend’s oche action.
Punters can also take a gander at the full Grand Slam of Darts pool draw, or glance over a schedule of upcoming winter competitions.
Jelle Klaasen to come out tops

Veteran Ian White is the determined Dutchman’s biggest rival for pool bragging rights, but the Cobra has proven a venomous opponent for Diamond before, winning their past two duels by decent margins. As the in-form player of the two PDC pool favourites, this price is too good to miss.
Andy Fordham to fight back

Has the former BDO World Championship and World Masters winner still got what it takes? In a sport that often favours an underdog, Fordham could prove a fruitful punt. Odds of 8/1 are enticing for the Viking to at least slay some of his group stage opponents and secure passage from Pool C to the second round.
The decorated darting legend told press recently “It’s been a long road, incredibly tough at times, and of course you wonder if you will ever get back to playing on stage in one of the Majors. I never gave up hope.”
Peter Wright to scale heights

Snakebite has had a sensational few seasons to become ranked fourth in the world by the PDC and, ending as UK Open runner-up plus finishing in the semi-finals of the World Matchplay and European Championship in 2015, shows the Scot has substance as well as style.
Scott Mitchell to shock qualifying

With the BDO 2015 World Championship under his belt, Scotty Dog certainly has the pedigree to surprise his PDC peers.
Keegan Brown to beat off The Bullet

Armageddon always appears fearless despite his young age of 22 and, with his main competition an inconsistent James Wade, the Durham-born darts starlet and 2014 Under 21 World Championship winner has every opportunity to make a name for himself.
