Coral’s pros and cons for Kevin De Bruyne destinations

It seems Wolfsburg’s brilliant playmaker Kevin De Bryune just can’t stay out of the tabloids, with his inspiring performances causing somewhat of a transfer kerfuffle.

It remains to be seen where the highly-rated Belgian with the big pricetag will be when the summer window slams shut. Yet, with the clock ticking, De Bruyne must soon make a decision.

Will he stay or will he go? Coral experts consider the pros and cons from the Die Wolfe dangerman’s current options…

Bayern Munich

Pros
Pep Guardiola’s Bundesliga champions are undoubtedly one of the best teams in the world and would allow De Bruyne to challenge for all honours without leaving Germany, where the Belgian international has excelled.

Cons
Bayern, 5/1 with Coral to win the Champions League, are currently over-stocked with players who prefer to play as a number 10 or behind the striker, so his path to the starting XI may not be so smooth.

In addition to this, deadly De Bruyne’s individuality may not mesh well with discipline-demanding Guardiola’s style at the Allianz Arena, as the Belgian’s attitude already reportedly put-off former club Chelsea.

Manchester City

Pros
City are an ambitious side, and one of few in the world able to guarantee consistent trophy chances with wages to match. The Etihad outfit are still in need of an attacking midfield upgrade, with Jesus Navas and Samir Nasir weak links in their offence.

Cons
De Bruyne, who is far more effective centrally, may find it is a case of too many cooks spoil the broth next to David Silva and Raheem Sterling, who both prefer to drift inside.

Yet, perhaps the intelligent trio would prove devastating together in support of Sergio Aguero. De Bruyne would not be Manuel Pellegrini’s leading man, or even star midfielder, however, which could see his lethal scoring stats lessened.

Wolfsburg stay

Pros
De Bruyne owes much of his development to Die Wolfe, who gave him space to shine. Another season with the Bundesliga club to iron out his inconsistencies and continue to play with freedom, could prove far more beneficial in the long-term.

The situation at the likes of Real Madrid could also change this term, potentially giving the string-puller more options. With Euro 2016 also next summer, De Bruyne may be wise to bide his time and ensure he plays regularly and consider a move after the tournament.

Cons
The ex-Chelsea attacker must know footballing careers can be short and rest on fine margins. An ill-timed injury or poor patch of form at the wrong moment could see his hopes of a big money move dashed.

If Wolfsburg, 20/1 to lift the Bundeliga title, fail to improve on last term, the 24-year-old may also be forced to watch as his compatriots at other clubs lift the big prizes.
