Atlanta Hawks will look to bounce back from a disappointing 104-98 loss in Game 1 when they take on the streaking Washington Wizards in Game 2 of their second-round playoff series as six-point favourites in NBA betting at Coral’s online sportsbook.

The Wizards defied the oddsmakers in Game 1, running their SU winning streak to five games with a 104-98 victory in at Atlanta, claiming the outright as 5.5-point betting underdogs.

That victory came at a heavy cost for Washington. The club’s two starting guards, John Wall and Bradley Beal, each suffered injuries that now bring into question their effectiveness as the series progresses.

Playing through the pain in Game 1, Wall tallied 18 points and 13 assists, while Beal led all Wizards scorers with 28 points, and is averaging 22.2 points per game during the post-season.

Washington’s SU victory in Game 1 also marked their second consecutive win over the Hawks following three straight SU and ATS losses, and just their second win in Atlanta since 2008.

After finishing atop the NBA’s Eastern Conference standings, the Hawks continue to struggle in the post-season. Atlanta needed six games to dispose of the Brooklyn Nets in the first round, failing to cover in four of those meetings, and is a dismal 2-7-1 ATS in their last 10, in basketball betting at Coral.

However, the Hawks remain a formidable opponent on home court, winning eight of nine SU prior to their loss in Game 1, and have averaged 107.5 points per game in their last four.

The Wizards have also been putting points on the scoreboard, averaging 109 per game in their last five, and the point total has finished OVER in 11 of the last 13 meetings between the two clubs.

But despite the trends, the point total in Tuesday night’s Game 2 showdown at Philips Arena is pegged at 197.5 in NBA playoffs betting at Coral.

Memphis Grizzlies @ Golden State Warriors (-10.5)
Golden State Warriors will be gunning for their 10th straight SU victory when they meet the Memphis Grizzlies in Game 2 of their Western Conference semi-final series as heavy 10.5-point favourites in NBA betting at Coral.

The Warriors dominated Memphis in Game 1 on Sunday, easily covering a 10.5-point spread in a 101-86 win, and now sit as clear favourites to win the NBA Championship in futures betting at Coral.

Golden State sports even odds to win their first NBA title since 1975, well ahead of the Cleveland Cavaliers, who entered the post-season as co-favourites, but now sit at 4/1 following their Game 1 loss to the surging Chicago Bulls on Monday night.

The Warriors will get another lift on Tuesday, when point guard Stephen Curry is honoured with this season’s MVP award in a pre-game ceremony.

Curry, one-half of the Warriors’ dynamic Splash Brothers, alongside teammate Klay Thompson, has averaged an eye-popping 31.4 points in the post-season, including a 22-point performance in Game 1.

The Grizzlies have struggled in recent meetings with Golden State, posting just one SU win in their last six meetings, 2-4 ATS, and are now winless ATS in their last three games overall.

Despite their strong first-round series performance against Portland, knocking off the Northwest Division champs in five games, the Grizzlies now find themselves pegged as distant 12/1 longshots against Golden State in series betting at Coral, while the Warriors are pegged as heavy 1/25 favourites.

Memphis has also tumbled to the bottom of the NBA championship betting odds, listed as a 40/1 longshot.
