Assists machine Kevin De Bruyne in huge demand this summer

With the football season across Europe very nearly over, transfer gossip naturally takes precedent as everyone from the tabloids to the milkman links players to a number of destinations.
One man definitely said to be in demand is Wolfsburg’s Kevin De Bruyne, who has supplied 28 assists for his teammates this season in all competitions, contributing 15 goals to boot.
He could well depart Die Wolfe as a DFB Pokal winner, which would give him the perfect platform to build on at another club, so as a result, we run down who could be in line to sign the Belgian schemer in the summer, who is likely to cost in the region of £35m.
Manchester City: 2/1
Having surrendered their Premier League title to Chelsea, City’s owners are said to be ready to bankroll a summer spending spree, with a host of players on their shopping list, to replace ageing stars.
Manuel Pellegrini’s side are 2/1 to sign the 23-year-old attacking midfielder, who would certainly add impetus to City’s attack, and the opportunity to link up with Sergio Aguero may too good to resist.
Bayern Munich: 2/1
The German giants are going through somewhat of a transition, with the likes of Bastian Schweinsteiger, Arjen Robben and Franck Ribery ageing.
De Bruyne would be the perfect signing for Pep Guardiola, and the club is a draw to the Belgian, with Bayern always reaching the latter stages of the Champions League, however, Wolfsburg would be highly reluctant to strengthen a title rival.

Laurent Blanc is slowly starting to build a side who can over the few years win the Champions League, and signing De Bruyne would be the perfect signal of intent.
With Javier Pastore’s future at the club uncertain, De Bruyne could easily fit into the team and Zlatan Ibrahimovic would likely be overwhelmed with scoring opportunities.

Having already signed Dutchman Memphis Depay, the club would pull off a real coup to sign De Bruyne. With Angel Di Maria rumoured to be moving on, there could well be space in the United midfield to accommodate the Belgian, who would be a definite upgrade in terms of assists.
