County taken to edge out Hibs

With a busy midweek behind us, including early action from the Champions League and Europa League qualifying rounds, we move onto an equally hectic weekend. The Scottish League Cup continues to dominate the thinking of punters, while a few Premier League sides sharpen their tools in friendlies.

There’s plenty for Coral players to be getting on with on Friday. Click here to place your bets and start the weekend with a winner. Why not try an accumulator? Small stakes for big rewards. Below you’ll find our treble – follow us in for a £10 stake and Coral will pay £121.30, if we’re on to a winner.

Ross County beat Hibs

An all Premiership class in the Scottish League Cup group stage and the pools are taking shape after a couple of outings. Involved in Group D, County lead the way after two matches played, boasting a 100% record, scoring eight goals and keeping two clean-sheets. Followers of The Staggies couldn’t really have asked for any more than that. They beat a capable Alloa side 2-0 at home last Saturday, and followed that with an emphatic 6-0 win away to Montrose in midweek. Two sides they would’ve expected to beat, but the performances will please everyone connected to the club, especially as they are still lacking match sharpness.

Hibs beat Montrose 4-0 a week ago, and had little trouble achieving it. Neil Lennon has brought in a number of new faces this summer however, some more ambitious that others, and they are still bedding in, so we fancy County to steal an advantage at home. Coral’s 8/5 rates as a fantastic price about the locals, and we’re more than happy to give that a try. A great way to get the ball rolling on Friday night.

Bray Wanderers beat St Pats

Moving over to the Irish Premier Division for the first of two picks there, and we throw our support behind Bray Wanderers, who travel to St Pats. The selections are up against it on Friday night in this road trip, but they can take plenty of confidence from their efforts this season, sitting third after 22 games. Back-to-back wins over Galway and Derry boosted team-morale, and that will prove the difference against an opponent who went on a four-match winless run. Since beating Derry, St Pats lost to Cork and Bohemians, while drawing vs Galway and Limerick. Take the form side at 9/5.

Galway beat Drogheda

Finishing up with the basement battle between two of the poorest sides in the division this year. With 22 games on the board, Drogheda are rock-bottom, their opponents Galway just one place higher in the rankings. There have been small glimmers of hope for the home side however, picking up five points from a possible 15, thanks to a 3-1 win recorded over Limerick and a couple of draws. This won’t be too pretty, but the locals should have enough about them to squeak through, and we’re on at 4/6. Let’s hope for three winners to boost our betting balance.
