Barneveld beat Chisnall
Barney has slipped down the table, after promising much in the run-up, and goes to Exeter with his stats showing one win, two draws and a defeat. He was last seen ending level with Peter Wright, but will surely fancy his chances of getting it right against bottom of the league. Chizzy was spanked 7-3 by fellow struggler Klaasen last time, and that would’ve done little to help his confidence. Barney has the experience to grind out results, and we back him at a handy even money.
Klaasen beat Huybrechts
Fresh from his first win of the competition last week, and in some style too, Jelle will be eager to add another here, and help himself avoid the humiliation of relegation. Klaasen has been putting in decent performances when not winning, while his opponent looks to suffer from lapses in concentration. This one will be fiery, and I’m having The Cobra to strike at 6/5.
Anderson beat Taylor
We have seen only flashes of what Gary Anderson is capable of in the early exchanges of this competition, and he would’ve been kicking himself after drawing with James Wade, in what was a very winnable match. The Scotsman is on a high however, having thumped Wright in the final of the Players Championship. Anderson is a more skilled player, these days, and he’s taken to prove it at 4/5.
Wright beat Lewis
Jackpot is quickly falling into the same bracket as James Wade, a talented player, who it’s just not worth risking your money on. Sometimes you see his ability shine through, sometimes you don’t. In Wright we have our cash on a very capable player who gives nothing less than 100 per cent every time he steps up to the oche. The showman loves winning, and will do it again here at evens.
