Fans of international football have EURO 2024 to look forward to this year, but with another major tournament just over two years away, Coral takes you through the World Cup 2026 betting odds.

The 2022 World Cup in Qatar only took place just over a year ago, with Lionel Messi finally winning the tournament at the end of a truly fantastic final with France.

He’s unlikely to make the tournament in 2026, considering he’ll be 39 by the time it takes place, so which countries are priced as the favourites to win the next World Cup, which takes place in Canada, America and Mexico?

World Cup 2026 betting odds

5. Spain – 9/1

Gavi is set to miss the 2024 European Championship after tearing his ACL towards the end of last year, but he’ll be hoping to be back to his best by the time the 2026 World Cup rolls around in two years time.

Spain have such an exciting young core right now, with Gavi and his Barcelona teammates Lamine Yamal and Pedri, who’ll be that much older and more experienced by the time the tournament begins.

It’s a long way away, there’s no denying that, but you’ll get odds of 9/1 with Coral right now if you were to place a bet on Spain to win the next World Cup, which could be worth a punt.

4. Argentina – 9/1

Reigning champions Argentina are next up, with Coral pricing them as the fourth-favourites to win the tournament come July 2026.

Whilst stranger things have happened, Messi is unlikely to be playing for his country in the competition in two years time, so it’ll be up to the likes of Alexis Mac Allister, Enzo Fernandez and Cristian Romero to lead their country to glory once again.

3. England – 7/1

Despite being priced as the joint-favourites to win EURO 2024 in the summer, England are only the third favourites to win the World Cup two years later.

Phil Foden, Trent Alexander Arnold, Bukayo Saka and Jude Bellingham will firmly be in their primes by this stage, and if they do win the Euros next year, this England side could have the tournament experience needed to go back-to-back and emerge victorious in the World Cup.

England’s only major tournament win came in 1966 in the World Cup, which they won on home soil, but could 2026 be the year they win their next? Only time will tell…

2. Brazil – 6/1

Argentina won the last World Cup, and Brazil are one of the favourites to win the next one in two years time.

While Neymar may not be there, Vinicius Jr, Rodrygo and Gabriel Martinelli will be leading the line for their country come 2026, with Endrick being a Real Madrid player by then too.

Brazil has so much exciting talent in its ranks, and with more experience and football under all of their player’s belts, they stand a really good chance at winning the World Cup in 2026.

1. France – 11/2

The favourites to win the 2026 World Cup are France, who won the tournament in 2018 and finished as the runners-up in 2022, losing out to Argentina on penalties in the final.

Like Brazil, France have an incredibly exciting crop of young talent, particularly in defence, and that should leave them with a good chance at going far in the 2026 World Cup.

Kylian Mbappe will still only be 27 by the time the tournament rolls around, and a solid showing in the 2026 World Cup could cement his place as one of the greatest footballers of his generation, if he isn’t recognised as such already by then.
