Windsor preview: Wild about the chances of Storm

Wild Storm can exploit what looks a lenient opening mark to land the 1m 2f handicap on today’s card at Windsor (15.50).
The Saeed bin Suroor trained filly shaped with bags of promise on her sole run as a juvenile when runner-up in a maiden at Kempton, keeping on well without being knocked about to be beaten just a neck by Music And Dance.
Wild Storm finished 1 1/2 lengths in front of the third home Jazzi Top, and that one has developed into a top class Group performer now rated 115.
That gives the form a strong look, and Wild Storm has since gone on to register a facile victory over course and distance on seasonal reappearance back in April.
The three-year-old cruised home by four lengths in a nine-runner maiden, and has been allotted an opening handicapping mark of 84 on the back of that success.
That looks very lenient judged on her debut run, and the daughter of Dubawi is certainly bred to be better than it.
Wild Storm also remains unexposed and open to any amount of improvement, and with James Doyle in the saddle looks weighted to take all the beating.
In the 5f maiden (13.50), Quatrieme Ami looks to have been found a glorious opportunity to open his account.
The Dean Ivory trained two-year-old ran very well on debut at Kempton when encountering trouble in-running before keeping on nicely to finish a never nearer 3 3/4 length fourth of 10, and backed that up with a cracking seventh of 20 to Log Out Island in the valuable Two-Year-old Trophy over 6f at Redcar.
Although eventually beaten eight lengths in the latter, Quatrieme Ami showed bags of speed to race at the head of affairs until weakening a furlong from home.
The drop back to the minimum trip looks sure to suit, and a reproduction of that run is going to make Quatrieme Ami very hard to beat in what is a weak class 4 contest.
