Who will win Sunday’s three-way tussle for the Premier League Golden Boot?

Golden Boot final-day tussle
A remarkable Premier League season will come to an end on Sunday evening, as every top-flight team ends their respective campaigns during the 3pm kick-offs, and there is still the small matter of the Golden Boot winner to decide.
With the title already wrapped up by Leicester City and the relegated sides confirmed, there are still European positions to play for, but for Sergio Aguero, Harry Kane and Jamie Vardy, there is personal glory to be claimed.
Everton’s Romelu Lukaku currently sits behind these three top tier marksman in the scorer standings but has fallen short in the bid to lift this term’s coveted Golden Boot, meaning it’s a three-way tussle on the final day which will decide the outcome of this prestigious award. So who will reign supreme?
Harry Kane (Tottenham)
After bursting onto the scene for Tottenham last term, Kane has gone from strength to strength and is on the verge of claiming the Golden Boot before jetting off to France for Euro 2016 with Roy Hodgson’s England squad.
The Spurs sharpshooter is the odds-on 4/9 favourite to clinch success as he enters his final domestic outing against already relegated Newcastle United atop the charts with 25 goals so far.
Kane was pipped to the Golden Boot crown last season by Manchester City’s Aguero and the Argentine is hot on his heels again, meaning the England frontman will likely have to tuck home at St James’ Park to cement his place as number one striker in the country.
Ahead of a huge summer with the Three Lions, Kane is 9/2 to open proceedings against Rafael Benitez’s downed Magpies or 6/1 to cap off a tremendous term by bagging a brace or more.
Sergio Aguero (Manchester City)
Last season’s Golden Boot victor Aguero has an added incentive heading into Man City’s clash with Swansea City, as Manuel Pellegrini’s men will likely need at least a draw to secure Champions League football for next term.
The South American ace netted 26 times domestically during the previous campaign and is joint-second in the current charts with 24 strikes alongside Vardy, though he will take to Welsh soil looking to fire his club into a European spot.
Man City occupy fourth position and will hope to fend off rivals fifth-placed Manchester United to remain there, and their clinical frontman is 5/2 to ultimately end top scorer to claim a second successive Golden Boot trophy.
Aguero will be boosted by the fact Swansea hold one of the worst defensive records within the top 11 sides, although the Argentine attacker will have to end a run of eight fixture meetings without a goal, having last dispatched past the Swans back in August 2011.
Jamie Vardy (Leicester City)
Vardy’s sensational season has seen him lift the Premier League title and earn deserved England caps, feats that he could only have dreamed of in recent years, and he is a 6/1 outsider to add a Golden Boot award to his growing list of achievements.
The Foxes forward has 24 strikes to date and will have to tackle former champions Chelsea in his final outing of the campaign, though he did open the scoring in their earlier season battle and is 11/2 to do so again at Stamford Bridge on Sunday afternoon.
Claudio Ranieri’s reliant hitman helped fire Leicester to a 2-1 triumph in that reverse match-up at the King Power Stadium and he will have to find the target again in order to edge Kane or Aguero in the final scoring standings this season.
