Rafael Nadal is the front-runner
The 2017 Paris Masters is already underway, providing men’s tennis players with one last chance to earn valuable points ahead of the ATP Finals in London next month.
Andy Murray and Novak Djokovic have won the last four titles at the AccorHotels Arena. But neither of them are taking part in this year’s event.

All set up for Nadal
Roger Federer’s recent withdrawal leaves Rafael Nadal as the biggest star taking part by a distance.
Nadal has won 16 Grand Slam titles and a joint-record 30 Masters 1000 titles, but he’s never won the Paris Masters. He’s unlikely to get a better chance.
The Spaniard has looked very strong on hard courts this season. As well as winning at Flushing Meadows, he reached the Australian Open final and triumphed at the China Open.
Nadal only needs one win in Paris to secure the number one spot for the ATP Finals. He’s 1/12 to beat South Korea’s Chung Hyeon in the second round on Wednesday.

Alexander Zverev is already ranked third in the ATP rankings at just 20-years-old. The German won the Italian Open and Canada Masters this year, beating Djokovic and Federer in the respective finals to demonstrate his promise.
Zverev is 1/4 to win his second-round match against the unseeded Robin Haase on Wednesday morning.
If Zverev wins, he’s likely to face Juan Martin del Potro in his next clash. Del Potro’s 1/6 on to beat Joao Sousa. The Argentine’s talent has never been questioned but he’s struggled with injury problems.
He knocked out Federer in this year’s US Open, before defending his Stockholm Open title. He also reached the Swiss Indoors final.
In Section 3, third-seed Marin Cilic has a relatively straightforward path to the quarter-finals. The 2014 US Open winner is 1/4 favourite against his fellow Croatian Borna Coric.
