Which Premier League club is the best fit for Neymar?

His name has resurfaced again. With the January transfer window just around the corner, cries of coincidence appear abject at best.
However, it hasn’t stopped Coral speculating as to which Premier League club he could fit best at. With this in mind, we review what his options might be, if Neymar is indeed seriously contemplating a move away from Barcelona.
Manchester United
Linked to the 23-year-old in the summer, the Red Devils, who are 7/1 with to win the Premier League, could well be a viable option. Arguably, Louis van Gaal is still short of a world class forward, despite shelling out an initial £36m on 19-year-old Anthony Martial.
Where he would fit into United’s attack remains to be seen. With academy graduate Jesse Lingard flourishing recently and another new signing Memphis Depay an option, plus Wayne Rooney, which position he takes up could cause a conundrum and the latter may have to be pushed back into a preferred deeper role.
There is no doubt that the forward, regarded as being one of the top three players in the world would have a huge impact for United and boost their chances of winning major silverware. If he can establish a relationship with Martial, he may also be able to get the best out of the currently misfiring Depay, to form one of the most potent attacking triumvirates in world football.
Manchester City
Applying wisdom, this appears to be the most logical fit. Neymar would want a club capable of operating at a similar level to Barca and, currently City seem the outfit with the most selling points.
They have a strong team, play good football, pay generous wages and also have a player at a similar level to Neymar in Sergio Aguero. This attacking duo with assist machine Kevin De Bruyne in behind could be formidable, which may see City eventually win the Champions League, something the club are 11/1 to do this season.
If City do land him, expect a period of domination from the Etihad side, unless current teammate Lionel Messi makes a move to a rival Premier League outfit.
Chelsea
In the summer, this could have been an attractive option for Neymar. However, their poor start to the campaign, apparent lack of cohesion in the team and low morale could well jeopardise the Blues chances of signing him.
Roman Abramovich reportedly has given the green light on the transfer and we have seen before, in the instance of Eden Hazard and Jose Mourinho that the Russian oligarch always gets his man, so never say never.
Arsenal
Affording the Brazilian wouldn’t be a problem, given the Gunners’ infinitely deep pockets and surplus cash reserves. He would also relish playing at the Emirates, being based in London and becoming part of an extremely exciting attack which features former Barca man Alexis Sanchez.
There is no doubt that Neymar’s arrival would take Arsenal into the next stratosphere and massively increase their chances of winning the Premier League, something they are 13/8 to do this season.
