Sports fans saw the return of domestic football, with the Championship and below getting underway in England, while all major divisions in Scotland played game one. The Community Shield between Chelsea and Arsenal at Wembley means we’re also less than a week away from the new Premier League campaign.
It’s great to have the beautiful game back on our screens, but there’s no doubt it all played second fiddle behind the main sporting news of the weekend, Usain Bolt’s final race. The Jamaican has transformed the image of athletics in recent times, and bowed out at the World Championships in London – his last ever race.
