Play-offs continue with three more ties

The Champions League action continues tonight, with six sides fighting it out for three Group Stage places.

There’s an interesting bunch of contenders. Four-time winners Ajax are involved, while Mol Vidi FC and BSC Young Boys are both looking for a first-ever UCL group spot.

Ahead of kick-off, the Coral News Team give their tips on the evening’s games…

MOL Vidi FC v AEK Athens

The hosts have had a rebrand this summer, having previously been known as Videoton. But chances of the new era coming with a group stage spot look unlikely.

Greek champions AEK knocked Celtic out in the last round – and have proved themselves an extremely tough nut to crack.

It’s 6/5 for an AEK victory. And a win would likely be accompanied by a clean sheet. The Athens club conceded just 12 goals in 30 league games last term, and are 21/10 to Win to Nil.

In the Correct Score market, there’s 8/1 about a 2-0 triumph for the away side. New boy Christos Albanis will be looking to open his account for the club, and the pacy forward is 5/2 to notch in Hungary.

Ajax v Dynamo Kiev

This is likely to be a pretty close affair. Both sides have started the season in decent form, and the two previous meetings have ended with a 1-1 Draw and 2-1 Ajax win.

It’s 27/10 for the Draw in this one. But whether or not either side can edge the first leg, goals after the break look likely.

Two of Ajax’s previous four games have seen them score in the 88th minute, while six of Dynamo’s last seven goals arrived after the break. It’s 19/20 for Both Teams to Score, while the Odds make it 21/20 for Over 1.5 Goals in the Second Half.

Klaas-Jan Huntelaar has scored a huge 54 goals in 91 European outings. He’s 11/8 to Score Anytime.

BSC Young Boys v Dinamo Zagreb

The Swiss side ended their 32-year wait for a league title last term, finishing 15 points clear of nearest challengers FC Basel.

An attacking powerhouse domestically, Young Boys have scored in 33 consecutive games ahead of this one. So it’s hard to see past victory for the Bern club at odds of 3/4.

Goals are likely. Dinamo aren’t great at the back, but they’ve also scored in 10 games on the trot.

Ahead of kick-off, it’s 12/5 for Young Boys to Win and Both Teams to Score. Meanwhile, there’s 7/1 about a 2-1 victory for the hosts.

Former Paris Saint-Germain forward Guillaume Hoarau leads the line for the Swiss club. He’s scored four times in his last three outings, and is 11/10 Anytime.
