Vardy 3-1 to start in England opener against Russia

Leading bookmaker Coral has opened up betting on who will be in the England starting XI to face Russia in their Euro 2016 opener in June. Jamie Vardy, who has been in hot form for Leicester this season, is 3-1 to start the game against Russia, Tottenham’s Dele Alli is odds-on at 8-11 to be in Roy Hodgson’s XI, while John Stones can be backed at 10-11.
Coral is also still betting on who will make England’s 23-man Euro 2016 squad. Eric Dier is available at 4-6 to be on the plane after some good performances for Tottenham recently, despite both missing large parts of the season through injury, Daniel Sturridge and Jack Wilshere are 8-15 and 8-13 respectively and at a bigger price, Manchester United’s Jesse Lingard is 7-1.
“The betting suggests Dele Alli and John Stones will both start England’s Group B opener against Russia as they are odds-on to do so. We have also seen money for Jamie Vardy to be in Roy’s XI as he continues to shine in the Premier League for Leicester,” said Coral’s John Hill.
