Tottenham to topple Liverpool, Villa meet Chelsea in televised PL tussles

Saturday’s Premier League televised match-ups should make for exciting viewing as the action resumes following a thrilling international break. There is plenty at stake, as Aston Villa take to the field in the early kick-off against Chelsea for the first time since sacking Remi Garde and Liverpool later host title chasers Tottenham at Anfield.

Blues to get back on track versus Villa
Chelsea may be without a win in four across all competitions, but have a plum opportunity to turn that poor patch around against rudderless hosts Aston Villa and are duly odds-on at 4/7 for an away win.
The Villans may well be boosted by interim boss Eric Black grabbing the reins from ousted gaffer Remi Garde, but their status as rock-bottom Premier League club and odds-on relegation risks, in tandem with a record of only one triumph in the last 13 against Chelsea, means a shock victory looks unlikely.
Villa have failed to muster a goal in any of their previous three fixtures and have not taken any points in the Premier League for six matchweeks, so are certainly outside shouts at 5/1 to win or even 14/5 to draw. Chelsea, however, look tempting at a cheeky 6/4 for a victory to nil.
Agbonlahor out of action
Homegrown hitman Gabriel Agbonlahor will not feature on Saturday due to off-field issues, as caretaker coach Black told press: “I’ll speak to him again on Monday and then we’ll take it from there. He’s back in and reporting for training.
“I’m not going to go into the details because the investigation is on going. I want us to get back to football and football alone.”
This means Villa Park support will have their goal hopes pinned on pair Jordan Ayew and Rudy Gestede, with the attacking couple both priced at 11/4 to end their club’s goal drought anytime.
As for Guus Hiddink’s guys, the Dutch caretaker could call up young-gun Bertrand Traore (even-money to score anytime) in suspended striker Diego Costa’s absence, while Cesc Fabregas (11/2 to strike first) should also start as he is fresh from a brilliant brace last time out in the league. While, reliable wingman Willian struck against the Villans last term and is a 13/2 shout to fire in the final goal.

Spurs seeking to continue excellent away record
Tottenham have lost just two on their travels in the league this term, a rampant run Mauricio Pochettino’s men are 15/8 to continue by clinching the plaudits and points at Anfield.
Spurs must keep the pressure on league leaders Leicester City, but the Merseyside Reds will be no pushovers as they rally for a top four charge.
Though, having lost ground last time in their scuffle with Southampton, Jurgen Klopp could keep his focus trained on the upcoming Europa League clash with former club Borussia Dortmund, so may be better value at 23/10 to pinch a point than at 29/20 for all three.
Kane to capitalise on the road
It is tough to imagine England hero Harry Kane fluffing his lines on Merseyside, as the marksman has hit two braces in as many of his previous Premier League games. So, punters can plump for him at a superb 7/1 to dispatch a double again, or at 5/1 to fire in first again for the third time in as many recent top-tier matches.
Midfield sensation Dele Alli and Danish international Christian Eriksen are also intriguing at 23/10 and 11/4 to breach Klopp’s backline anytime respectively.
Should you seek better value on Spurs, why not take odds of 17/4 for a Tottenham triumph but both teams to net, as Liverpool boast their own lethal threats in Samba stars Philippe Coutinho (11/4 in the anytime market) and Roberto Firmino (15/8).
