Top Premier League tips August 27-28

The English top-flight continues this week, with all 20 teams tussling for valuable points before the international break commences. With this in mind Coral football writers have picked out top Premier League tips.

Tottenham v Liverpool headlines proceedings, while eyes will be focused on what looks like the beginnings of a title race in Manchester, with both big spending sides picking up full points thus far.

Kane to score first in crucial clash

Both the Reds and Spurs will be targeting a Champions League place this term, and may even have aspirations of challenging for top spot.

If Spurs are to do it, they’ll need to get Harry Kane on the scoresheet. The England striker and last season’s Premier League top scorer has netted twice in three outings against Liverpool and is a fantastic 4/1 to break the deadlock at home to Jurgen Klopp’s outfit – who were beaten by Burnley last weekend.

Foxes to fire without reply

Premier League winners Leicester City have beaten Swansea City in their last three match ups, scoring a total of nine goals without reply and are 33/20 to win to nil at the King Power Stadium.

Claudio Ranieri’s Foxes are unbeaten in their previous 16 league home games and look certain to make home advantage count, as they aim to defend the title.

Blues to blast Burnley

In three of their last four wins against Burnley, the Blues have scored three goals and look on track to emulate their high scoring history this Saturday.

The Blues possess some lethal firepower in the form of red hot Michy Batshuayi and Diego Costa, expect the Stamford Bridge to triumph and there to be a match total of over 3.5 goals at 21/10.

Black Cats set to share spoils

In their last three league encounters, Southampton and Sunderland have averaged just two goals a game.

Both sides have struggled so far this term and look destined to battle it out in a stalemate at 14/5.

Gunners to swat Hornets

In two of their last three wins over Watford, Arsenal have scored three or more goals. The Gunners have a knack of pulling a big win out of the bag when pressure begins to mount on Arsene Wenger, and this clash looks to be no different.

Their last meeting ended in an Arsenal 4-0 victory, and the north Londoners are 12/1 triumph 3-0 this time out.

Lukaku to sink Stoke

Belgium striker and 18 league goal man Romelu Lukaku has scored in 50 per cent of his games against Stoke during the course of his career.

The 22-year-old was backed by Everton boss Ronald Koeman to have a big season on Merseyside, and is 10/3 to score first against a Stoke City side that have conceded five in the league already this term.

Cherries to sneak 1-0 win

Bournemouth wowed many by staying up last season, with Eddie Howe building a team greater than the sum of its parts, while Crystal Palace have been on a dreadful run of form in the Premier League since the turn of the year.

Palace’s most common result was a 1-0 loss last term, recording it seven times, and have already been beaten twice by that scoreline this term – the Cherries are therefore 15/2 to triumph 1-0.

Red Devils to tame Tigers

Manchester United are unbeaten against Hull City in a run that stretches back to 1974. With Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Paul Pogba already looking settled in the United side, and Eric Bailly providing the aggressive presence at the back, expect a routine win.

The Old Trafford outfit are 12/1 to beat Hull 3-1, as the Yorkshire side have got on the scoresheet in two of the last three United wins.

Baggies to bag three points

West Bromwich Albion have a superb recent record against Middlesbrough, recording four straight victories.

The Baggies have managed to put 11 past Boro without reply and are 14/5 to win to nil this Sunday.

Aguero continues fine form

Manchester City look a formidable outfit under Pep Guardiola and recently dispatched their Champions league qualification opponents 6-0 on aggregate, with Sergio Aguero scoring three in the first leg.

The Argentina frontman has also managed to net the same number in the league already, and has seven in nine appearances against West Ham United. City’s all-time leading Premier League scorer is 11/2 to hit a hat-trick on Sunday.
