Top jockey looks ahead to Sandown

They seem very optimistic about running at Sandown which will be great if they can get the meeting on.

It is the frost which will be the thing they are worrying about the most as if temperatures do drop below freezing point, there is nothing that can be done about that.

It has been a frustrating week so far but it is expected at this time of the year. Every season there is a hold up at some point in the campaign and you just have to deal with it.

Saturday – Sandown

12.40 – Paddy A

He was a decent enough flat horse where he was rated in the 80s. Things didn’t work out well in his opening start over hurdles at Lingfield.

He will have the blinkers on for the first time so hopefully that can find some improvement from him and he can get his hurdles career back on track.

3.35 – Sandy Beach

He won nicely around Uttoxeter a few runs back. His run at Newbury last time was ok.

He will have to step up here from what he has shown so far this season as it is a competitive race with Belami Des Pictons the one that stands out to beat.

I would think we would have decent place prospects though if he is at his best.
