Coral ambassador previews his rides ahead of Perth on Sunday

Perth 13.00 – Fern Owl

Perth is a fantastic course, I always love riding here and it’s great to see them get ITV coverage. At a difficult time they’ve put up some excellent prize money and I’m pleased to see them rewarded for that with a strong card.

I start on the first of four rides for Neil Mulholland, on Fern Owl, who is having his first start for Neil. He’s been schooling well, and seems in good order, but obviously we’ll learn more about him here and that will give us a better idea for future plans.

Perth 15.15 – The Young Master

The Young Master has been a grand servant for the team for many seasons now, and his presence here at Perth highlights what a great job they’ve done in staging this card. It’s a great ride for me to pick up, he ran a lovely race last time when finishing third at Uttoxeter, showing all his old enthusiasm. He’s run in plenty of high class chases in his time, and on the basis of his last run, hopefully he has a good chance here.

Perth 15.50 – Frau Georgia

Frau Georgia’s best run to date was probably her first, when she was second in a Warwick Bumper at the start of last year. She hasn’t repeated that form yet, although up to a point she has run OK in her novice hurdles. Hopefully she’ll be seen in a better light in this handicap company, although she does have it all to do.

Perth 16.25 – Princess T

Princess T won nicely for me at Southwell last time, and although this handicap hurdle has split into two divisions, it still looks competitive enough. However I was pleased with how she won last time, she deserved to get her head in front and hopefully there will be more to come, she certainly looks to be my best chance of the day.

Tom.
