With Royal Ascot now just one week away, Racing Post tipster Tom Collins is helping Coral customers to build some momentum ahead of the iconic meeting.
After casting his eye over the card, here are Tom’s picks for today’s racing:
Tapisserie – 2.45 Salisbury
Extremely eyecatching on debut when storming home to take second behind subsequent scorer Archer’s Dream at Doncaster, before filling the same berth behind another useful three-year-old in Alhakmah. Plenty went wrong for her last time and hopefully she will get a better run through this time to allow for an easy success.
She Believes – 3.45 Salisbury
Massively improved since stepping up to trips beyond a mile (2-3 over this distance). Rated 95 this time last year and fell down the weights after some disappointing displays but has really found form again this season and is well handicapped off 77. She looked unlucky last time in a better race and can make amends.
General Zoff – 5.00 Lingfield
Oisin Murphy is riding out of his skin in search of his first jockeys’ title and he gets aboard this stayer who is in fine fettle having been in the first two in his last four outings. He bumped into a well-handicapped rival when last seen but this is much easier and he can add to his winning tally.
