Elsewhere in Group C it’s Denmark v Australia

Two-time World Cup winners Argentina face 1998 semi-finalists Croatia in a cracker this evening.

Keep an eye out for Coral’s Big Match Breakdown on that fixture. But there’s also a couple of World Cup crackers ahead of that clash, with all four Group C sides in action.

The action from Russia kicks off in Samara, as Age Hareide’s men face the Socceroos…

Denmark v Australia

The Danes rode their luck against Peru in the opening game, but came away with maximum points. That 1-0 win was a tighter affair than they’ve been used to. Five of Denmark’s previous nine competitive games had seen four or more goals scored.

Australia have scored in four of their last five, but lost twice in the process. It’s 11/10 for Both Teams to Score, while a Denmark win and BTTS is 19/5.

Yussuf Poulsen was the Danes’ hero last game, and the 24-year-old has opened the scoring in each of their last two games. He’s 13/2 to break the deadlock against the Socceroos.

For Australia’s part, Tom Rogic is 4/1 to score Anytime. The Celtic man grabbed six goals in qualifying.

The Danes should be strong enough to edge this, and it’s 8/1 for Correct Score: Denmark 2-1 in Samara.

France v Peru

Les Bleus fell at the final hurdle in Euro 2016, losing the final to Portugal on home soil. They’re looking to go one better this time around, and their star-studded squad should be too good for a Peru side who lack a cutting-edge.

France are 6/10 for victory, and they boast a striker in sparkling form. Antoine Griezmann has netted in four of their last seven competitive games. He’s 5/4 to net Anytime, and 5/1 to score Two or More Goals.

Didier Deschamps’ men have won two of their last five games 3-1. Another 3-1 France victory is 12/1. Meanwhile, it’s 17/10 for Les Bleus to score in Both Halves.

If the South Americans are to find the net, chances are it’ll come via Paolo Guerrero. The veteran hitman is 21/10 to add to his current total of 34 Peruvian goals.
