Europa League and Carabao Cup action tonight

There are plenty of big sides in action tonight – most of them in the Europa League.

The second legs of the third qualifying round await this evening, with crucial ties for heavyweights from La Liga and the Bundesliga. And there’s also a cracker in the Carabao Cup.

Here are the Coral News Team’s tips on the action…

Sunderland to beat Sheffield Wednesday @ 27/20

The Black Cats have started well in League One, with victory over Charlton Athletic followed by a deserved point at Kenilworth Road.

Tonight’s Carabao Cup clash sees Jack Ross’ side host a Wednesday side who shipped three goals in a loss to Wigan Athletic on their last away trip.

Speaking of the Owls, they’ve been beaten in three of their last four games in this competition – including a 2016 exit to League Two Cambridge United.

Sevilla to Win Both Halves (v. Zalgiris) @ 13/10

The Lithuanian side put up a valiant effort in the first leg, which finished with a 1-0 win for Sevilla. But Los Rojiblancos had 10 shots on target and could easily have won by a much bigger margin.

Sevilla will want more than a one-goal cushion, and could well go on the attack from the off. Against a side with one clean sheet in five games, they should find things pretty easy.

Rosenborg to beat Cork City @ 4/11

The Norwegian giants breezed to a 2-0 first leg win in Ireland, with talented forward Jonathan Levi bagging both goals. And another comfortable Rosenborg win looks likely on their own patch.

Cork have now lost five successive European games without scoring a single goal.

With the hosts boasting goal threats like Nicklas Bendtner and Alexander Soderlund, it’s likely to just be a case of damage limitation for John Caulfield’s side.

Legia Warsaw to beat F91 Dudelange @ 4/6

This is a must-win second leg for Legia. They spent the entire second-half with 10 men in the first encounter – eventually being edged out 2-1.

However, they should prove too strong this time around. Legia have taken seven points from their last three league games. And they’ve also got a striker in fine form in Guinea international Jose Kante.

The Luxembourgish outfit have a poor record in Europe, with 38 losses in 57 outings. Another one seems likely here.

Universitatea Craiova v RB Leipzig: Both Teams to Score @ 5/6

The first leg between this pair ended with a 3-1 victory for Die Bullen. And high-scoring encounters have become a real theme for Ralf Rangnick’s side.

Eight of their last 10 clashes have seen both sides find the net, including a pair of 5-2 defeats and a 6-2 away victory at Hertha Berlin.

With each of the Romanian club’s last three games seeing both teams register, another helping of BTTS looks likely in Craiova.
