Thomas Pyndt’s Denmark v Finland preview: concerns over attacking threat

There is still a lot of optimism in Denmark before the first game against Finland at home in Parken in Copenhagen. In the two friendlies last week, we drew 1-1 against Germany in Austria and won 2-0 against Bosnia at home.
The Danish team didn’t impress in any of the games against opponents with quite a few reserves, however, they didn’t lose and played quite well in the second half of both games.
Even though the goals were scored by three of the attackers in the squad, Yussuf Poulsen, Martin Braithwaite and Andreas Cornelius, it didn’t change the big question: who will score the necessary goals? The defence is very strong, but the attacking play has not been running as smoothly as hoped.
There is also still doubt about who will play as the striker in Kasper Hjulmand’s 4-3-3 system. FC Copenhagen’s Jonas Wind only played the last 45 minutes against Bosnia, but he could still take the spot ahead of Kasper Dolberg from Nice, but it is close.
There are no injuries in the starting eleven, and it is expected that Denmark will come out attacking against Finland to get a good start and also create a good atmosphere among the spectators in Parken and the fans in front of the big screens around the city.
