Conor McGregor’s attempt to make history and become the first ever UFC fighter to hold two world titles simultaneously will have to wait, after initial Brazilian opponent Rafael dos Anjos withdrew from their previously scheduled lightweight contest in Las Vegas.
Instead, the current featherweight title holder will make a massive step up to welterweight to collide with American rival Nate Diaz at UFC 196 this weekend, when the deadly Irishman is 11/8 with Coral to halt his latest opponent in the opening round.
